I previously owned a Weider Max Ultra and it was time to upgrade. I reviewed several products from Bowflex to Nordic Track but wanted to keep my spending to a minimum. After searching for a couple of days on line I found a person who needed to sell his Platinum Plus as they needed to move and quickly. The average price on line for this system was about $700-$800 with shipping. I was able to make a pretty good deal and bring it home for less than that. I have been woking out now for 25 years, I have a bad back and this is why I switched to resistence machines years ago. This product is fantastic, I know from experience putting them together is a pain, but well worth it. There is nothing this machine can not do and I highly recommend it to everyone. Whatever you can pick one up for, it will be worth every penny.

I got this last week on sale for less than $300. What a deal!! Though I don't know if it is worth much more than that. But it seems solid and easy to use.

I was very hesitant before I first decided to buy this home gym because of some of the reviews I've read, but now that I have it and have used it for about 6 weeks. I am very satisfied with this product. It's very simple to use and really works out your body well. It hits the area you are working out really well. After about 2 weeks of using it, I canceled my 24HR Fitness membership because you can do pretty much everything with this machine. The weight adjustment is also so convenient with just a push of a button to adjusting the weight.
The only negative for me was the installation instructions. The instructions are very difficult to work with; it does not give a good detail of how to put the product together. Luckily I was someone who is mechanically inclined and figured it out myself and it might be a little difficult for others.
Great product and I highly recommend it.

WOW, got this on special for less than $300 after returning another Weider Gym that uses bars. This machine is great. I have had it about a month now and can say that I get a great workout. It is a little bit of a pain switching between different exercises (i wish you could leave them all hooked up and just do the other exercises, but it only takes about a half minute to change). 10 year warranty on machine, haven't had to use it yet thankfully, hopefully never will. Very pleased with machine, although I am not sure I would pay over $700 for it.
