We have had this pitcher for over 6 months and use it many times daily. It has seen a lot of use. I love the slim design because it has a much smaller footprint. Yes, we have to refill it more often, but my son doesn't like water that sits very long any way. So we usually fill the reservoir just before use. The Brita filter lets water through fairly fast, so we don't wait long. I can probably fill this 5-cup pitcher in about 45 seconds. The smaller size is also lighter to hold. There aren't that many slim pitchers, so I was really glad when I found this. And it costs much less than the larger sizes. Uses the same filters as the larger pitchers. Have never put in the dishwasher; only handwash. Haven't ever stuck with any other pitcher long-term till this one.

I was hesitant to purchase this product because about 15 years ago when I was still living at home, my dad bought one and I hated the weird taste that the water had. I have bought bottled water for years and years because I didn't want the weird taste that I remembered. Well, a few months ago I purchased a Keurig and I was going through bottled water like crazy. It was becoming a pain to fill up the bottles. So, I decided for $10 I could give this a try - I LOVE IT!!!! The water tastes amazing, it filters very quickly (much faster than I expected) and it works great to drink or put in the Keurig. I just purchased a second filter to take to work with me so I no longer have to bring bottled water to work as well!

I simply refuse to pay $1.00 for a bottle for water. I refuse to buy water period. With all the possible contaminants in our tap water, I feel safe using the Brita Pitcher to purify the tap water. I was also pleased with the clean taste. I am able to fill my carry on bottle when I am on the go. There is no after taste, like you get from the tap. I would recommend this product. I can thank Walmart for the roll back price. Get it, It's worth it.

We researched the product before purchasing this one. The 5 cup pitcher is perfect for the two of us living on the outskirts of New Orleans, in Metairie. The water here contains a lot of odd elements giving it a weird taste. The Brita filter has made the water quite palatable. It also eliminates the need to purchase bottled water as we fill our stainless steel reusable bottles on our day trips from home. The filter has performed to our expectation.

I can't comment on how the pitcher is because it arrived broken. It is made of hard plastic that cracks easily. It wasn't packed well at all. The pitcher was in a much larger box without any padding. The box arrived completely crushed and the pitcher was cracked.

Saw this same item in K-Mart and decided not to buy it, because I thought it was too small. Then I saw this one online, and not knowing it was the same one, bought it based on all of the good reviews. When I received it in the mail, I thought it was going to be miniature size based on the same size of the box I saw in K-Mart. When I opened it and compared it to my housemate's average size pitcher, I saw it was about the same size. So I was happy about that. Then I filled it up, followed the installation instructions carefully, and waited for it to properly filter through to taste the filtered product. And when I tasted the water, I was amazed. It tasted great! It tasted similar to Springwater or Crystal Geyser water that I usually would buy. Not like the tangy strong disgusting water from the tap. I like it so far, I hope it lasts long. I just received it in the mail yesterday. Based on what I've seen so far, good product. It does what it's supposed to.

I already had a larger Brita pticher at home, but I wanted a smaller one for the office. The tap water is sometimes very chlorinated. Other reviews state that the top section comes up when you pour. That is true, but I simply hold the top down when I pour. So I don't have a problem with that and the water tastes good. Plus the price was right.
