I love this book! It is filled with so much fascinating information! The first edition was given to me years ago by a friend, and I bought this one to see if any good updates were made. I was delighted to find that in addition to a lot of great new recipes, the author also added reference and resource sections, as well as some new useful skills. If you are an outdoorsman/woman or if you just like to learn how to things for yourself you will love this book!

Arrived very quickly to the store. I was pleased with the service and the price of the book. In comparison to other book stores and online websites, Walmart had the book a few dollars cheaper and based on their service in the past they wouldn't take several weeks to have the book shipped.

Loads of information and data on every area of basic living, from picking land to planting and harvesting crops, preserving the harvest, different types of energy to use-solar, wind, etc., building structures, water sources, making your own dye, too many areas to name! There is a lot of information! A must have for anyone who wants to live simply! This is an updated version of the book that inspired me over 25 yrs. ago. This one has even more information! It was so good that I bought another copy for my daughter.
