Overall, this is an OK product. The handle is a little small for people with larger hands and the keypad cover is really cheezy. I think both will break with use. I had walmart.com ship the product, could not beat a $0.97 shipping charge. Product came ontime with minor damage to the shipping container.

I just got my new safe home. Everything was there and in great shape.It took me like 2 min. to read and set up the lock system. The weight is there, nobody is going to just pick this up and walk away with it.I am very happy with my purchase!!!! The site to store system is the way to go!!

Last july 2008, I paid 229.97$ for this 2.1 Cu Ft Safe. In only four months, the price is now 395$... that is a 70% higher price! The plastic exterior body scratch easily, so take car during transportation. The digital lock is user-friendly. There is plenty of room inside. Now Sentry brand make the same kind of durable plastic safe, so you should compare the price before buying it. Over all, I like the product.

For the price of this safe it is an excellent value. But if you're looking for a solid-steel interior then this is not for you. Although on the outside it is build sturdy enough with metal, the door's handle is only hard plastic and the inside material lining the safe is also plastic, but it is heavy enough. You have to decide if this really matters or not. If someone were to attempt to break in, the handle be it metal or not would not make much of a difference anyway. Also the interior is not what matters when it comes down to it. It fits comfortably in my safe and holds items that in any case would be hard to reach. For a few hundred bucks more you can have some more do-dads obviously, but if you're looking for a reasonalby price safe to keep your important papers or valuable safe from a fire and water this is a good choice. Again fort knox it isn't.

When I ordered this safe, I naively assumed that it was made out of steel like any good safe should be; I was very wrong. It is basically a 150 lb tupperware box with a keypad and a cheap plastic handle on it. Yes, it offers very good fire and water protection, but I really can't see it stopping a burglar that was determined to break it open. And it doesn't look nearly as sleek as the picture does when you see it in real life. I will never again buy a safe that isn't solid steel, and I wouldn't advise anyone else to do so either.

The first safe I ordered was defective. Something was wrong with the electronics; I couldn't reset the password. I then had to lug it back to Walmart. I ordered it again and fortunately it worked fine except for the retractable handle which I couldn't move at all. Seems sturdy and fits into a closet comfortably. I store mostly important documents in it, those I would be unable to replace if there was a fire.

Nice safe but there is no provision for bolting this bad boy down. I don't consider a safe that can't be bolted to the floor very secure. If you are only concerned about fire then I guess this is a good unit. I learned the hard way, my last safe was carried out the door by a burgular so my next safe will be firmly secured to the foundation!

I'd shopped for a home safe for several months and was really disappointed in what I found. For the most part the quality was lacking and the prices way too high. I happened to come across this safe on the Walmart site and decided to order it. What a great safe! This think is substantial and it exceeds my expectations. Honeywell has put out one heck of a product and thanks to Walmart for the good value.

Solid product, spaceous for an affordable safe. Nearly 200 lbs. Easy to install with a built in dolly, but the handle removes to make it difficult to move after installed. I haven't had it long enough to know how long the batteries will last. Walmart raised the price about $85 dollars from the price I purchased it at. That may have affected my decision to buy at the higher price.

We selected site to store shipping which was very convenient. When we ordered it, we failed to notice that this safe had wheels and a handle which made it entirely to convenient for theft! Since we want a safe that can be securely anchored to the floor we returned it.

A good safe for the $$$. I bought mine about a week before it went up $80 in price. The only down side is the web site states that the weight is 190 lbs, when it fact the weight is 120 lbs. The only downside to this product if I had to pick one is that there are no pre drilled bolt holes in the bottom to bolt it to the floor.
