This save is a great product at an affordable price. It is not steel but tough as steel & has the benefits of not having problems associated w/ a steel safe (rust/deformation). It has storage options for drawer, hanging file, & 3 ring binder storage. The handle makes it convienient to move, but detaches so it's not a convience for others. At about 150# it not easy to pack off & could easily be framed in or strapped w/ steel if one felt the need.

I had been looing at this particular safe at different stores. The cost on-line at wal-mart was at fifty dollars cheaper than at the compertition plus the cheap delivery was great. I think that overall you can not beat it, Firre, waterproof and security safe. I like the digital dail better than the rotate style knob, plus you have the backup key. Have wheel and a handle to move it around makes it a snap. I use it for a number of different things. It's great deal

I did quite a bit of looking around before making a choice. It seemed that the Honeywell 2.1 cu ft fire/waterproof digital safe was a good deal for the money. I was extremely pleased with the purchase. I received the product very quickly, and there was no damage whatsoever to it. Some reviews warned readers of receiving a damaged safe. Perhaps the maker listened. The safe was packed well. The safe had corner pads and was in a sturdy box. Then that whole box was packed inside another thick shipping box. The digital safe was easy to get started with, and I am very pleased. Highly recommend to others.

This is a wonderful safe for me and my wife. The handle in the back doesn't seem to work, but that's fine by me--no one will be able to just cart it away now. The setup for the code is simple; I had mine done in less than three minutes. My wife was in charge of the organization of the safe. We chose the hanging file method with objects around it; it is absolutely perfect for us. It is just as we expected. The .97 cent shipping to my house was wonderful. It is a nice, sturdy, heavy safe that will stay a part of my family for a long time.

Overall, this is an OK product. The handle is a little small for people with larger hands and the keypad cover is really cheezy. I think both will break with use. I had walmart.com ship the product, could not beat a $0.97 shipping charge. Product came ontime with minor damage to the shipping container.

I just got my new safe home. Everything was there and in great shape.It took me like 2 min. to read and set up the lock system. The weight is there, nobody is going to just pick this up and walk away with it.I am very happy with my purchase!!!! The site to store system is the way to go!!

Last july 2008, I paid 229.97$ for this 2.1 Cu Ft Safe. In only four months, the price is now 395$... that is a 70% higher price! The plastic exterior body scratch easily, so take car during transportation. The digital lock is user-friendly. There is plenty of room inside. Now Sentry brand make the same kind of durable plastic safe, so you should compare the price before buying it. Over all, I like the product.

For the price of this safe it is an excellent value. But if you're looking for a solid-steel interior then this is not for you. Although on the outside it is build sturdy enough with metal, the door's handle is only hard plastic and the inside material lining the safe is also plastic, but it is heavy enough. You have to decide if this really matters or not. If someone were to attempt to break in, the handle be it metal or not would not make much of a difference anyway. Also the interior is not what matters when it comes down to it. It fits comfortably in my safe and holds items that in any case would be hard to reach. For a few hundred bucks more you can have some more do-dads obviously, but if you're looking for a reasonalby price safe to keep your important papers or valuable safe from a fire and water this is a good choice. Again fort knox it isn't.

When I ordered this safe, I naively assumed that it was made out of steel like any good safe should be; I was very wrong. It is basically a 150 lb tupperware box with a keypad and a cheap plastic handle on it. Yes, it offers very good fire and water protection, but I really can't see it stopping a burglar that was determined to break it open. And it doesn't look nearly as sleek as the picture does when you see it in real life. I will never again buy a safe that isn't solid steel, and I wouldn't advise anyone else to do so either.

The first safe I ordered was defective. Something was wrong with the electronics; I couldn't reset the password. I then had to lug it back to Walmart. I ordered it again and fortunately it worked fine except for the retractable handle which I couldn't move at all. Seems sturdy and fits into a closet comfortably. I store mostly important documents in it, those I would be unable to replace if there was a fire.

Nice safe but there is no provision for bolting this bad boy down. I don't consider a safe that can't be bolted to the floor very secure. If you are only concerned about fire then I guess this is a good unit. I learned the hard way, my last safe was carried out the door by a burgular so my next safe will be firmly secured to the foundation!
