My 20 month old son got too big for his playpen. Our house is very difficult to completely child-safe, and I needed a safe way to contain Alex while I took care of other things. This 'pen' came assembled in the box. It sets-up and folds down in seconds...very easily. It is safe, sturdy, and large enough for him to have fun playing without feeling confined. It's even big enough for his 5 year-old brother to join him inside. It's very portable, and can easily be moved to different parts of the house, or folded compactly when not in use. The price was much lower than other products designed to do the same thing.

This gate is a great way to keep your baby contained and safe. I put in toys and watch the baby crawl around to play with them. She also was standing up within days of being in here. Babies are able to pull themselves up. I recommend getting the extension for extra space and for additional children. It's a must have for babies! I only wish it had a door so that I don't have to climb over it. Watch your fingers when snapping the pieces together.

I love this product! I have 11 month old twins and it has truly meant a bit of freedom for me. They love playing in it and being able to pull up on the sides. It is very sturdy and more spacious than I thought it would be. It would be nice to have the extension kit so that they could have more room to crawl around, but the original size is adequate. The only downfall is that it isn't easy to open the sides, but it's not too hard to step over. I bought this product because it was the cheapest one available, and I'm not disappointed in the product at all!

We bought the play yard and extension for our almost 1 year old son. It has been quite helpful. My only issue is that it does not have non-skid material on the bottom and we have hardwood floors so our son is able to move the play yard if we don't have something up against the outer edge. It would probably work much better on carpet. He can pull up to stand and look over the top but cannot get out at this point. Even with the extender it is a little smaller than I had expected but it gives me peace of mind to know that he is not racing off toward any dangerous as I wash dishes in the kitchen which is next to our family room. It is a little difficult to adjust the angles of the pieces but overall we have been very happy with it.

I wanted this for my new Chihuahua who isn't completely housebroken, and it is perfect. Was a little large for my space, so I took out 2 panels and made it a square. Is a great playpen for her while i am at work. Set up was a snap, and I use the other 2 panels as a gate for kitchen. Worth every penny !!

This product is rather large, bulky, and requires a bit of muscling for assembly... and I'm a big guy. Our child immediately hated the huge barrier. If it were in a different color, or if it had more openness it might have been more effective. The openings to see in and out are obscured if you are not at eye level with the child. Why they make it in battleship gray I'm not sure either.
It does work as intended, keeping the child from making it outside of the fence. The "gate" mechanism is simply compressing on one of the sides to release it.
We returned this device promptly and are seeking something easier to use. Folded it's about 1 foot thick if you do not have any of the extensions. Maybe if our child was older this might have worked.(6 months at the time of this writing) If you have an adventurous child and you don't have to look at it, then this might be the product for you.

i was a little skeptical at first about getting this product but once i got it to my house(fed ex had it here in 24 hours standard shipping!!) i put it together after about 10 mins. and of course my son hated it at first. but as with all babies "try try again" after about the 3rd time and me sitting in it with him and playing in it he loves it now. yay!! i hope you other parents have just as much ease if not more with this product. :)

My parents bought this as a shower gift when my son was born. I took it everywhere. It kept my son away from animals at peoples houses, out of breakables and plugins, away from danger in general. It is a large play-area that is also contained. I could even take it to my office to have a designated area for my son to be while I worked. I let someone borrow mine 1 year ago and never saw it again.(lol) Now I am buying one for a Shower gift! I know they will enjoy it as much as I did!

i love this play yard!.. my son (8 months old now) loves this play yard. he has been using it since he was about 4 months. it helped him learn to pull himself up and stand. and he has enough room to crawl and play with all of his many toys. i even get in it with him a lot. it comes put together already you just need to attach two ends, which is super simple. i leave it up all the time in our living room. i couldn't be without it.

This is a wonderful product. I have two small children and it's very hard to study while constantly getting up to keep my son in eye site which is hard to do with a crawling 7mo old. He seems to like it and I do not have to worry about him getting into everything. lightweight and larger than a play pen.

I really like it, I use it for my dog, it is really helpful when we are not watching our dog, he has plenty of space to play on.
My mom had one of this, she used it for her two poodles, that is the main reason I bought it. It keeps our dog safe when we are not at home and he can play in it for the time we are not at home.
I highly recommend this product to people with small breed dogs, I cannot think on any cons for now.
By the way it was easy to set up.

I am using it for a puppy compound inside the house and it works great with newspaper down they stay in the one main area and do their business and have room to play and sleep too. If I notice them chewing on it I have them stop and give them a doggie toy to chew on. It has worked out freat even for my grandchildren to get into and play with them. It will fold up and be put away for further use very easily.

This is an excellent value for the price and $0.97 shipping. It provides the protection that I need for my little one to be separated from the older child's small toys. This gate system is awesome! We bought it for our little granddaughter who was 11 months old at the time. She loves playing with all her toys in it and now that Christmas is right around the corner, we have something to keep the tree protected with! We got this for our 9 month old son and we love it. It is far better than any play pen. He now has room to crawl around, plenty of toys and even room for one of us to get in the playard with him. I find that the "spring gate" is hard to open and stiff, so I just climb over the gate. At a later time we may get the extention gates to make more room. The yard takes up most of our living room but it is worth it, we know were he is at all times and keeps him safe. Overall we are very happy with this playard.
