The gate works pretty well in most respects. The only problem is even when used on a thick pile rug, my son can push it right across the floor. It is a little light and the carpet grips don't really grip.

The area is big enough for my baby to crawl and sit while playing with his toys. Safe place to put a baby while I am doing other chores. In addition, it helped my baby learn to pull himself up. He is 20 lbs.
There is really no door. I simply hop over to get in or out. This is not an issue for us.

I bought this product when my daughter was 1 and have used it for 3 years. I bought a second gate to attach to the first one I bought to create a safe play area for my 10 month old son who recently started toddling. I have also used it outside to give my son a safe place to play while I push my daughter on the swing or play chase with her. It is verstile and easy to pack up and take with you to block off areas or create a play area at someone elses home that is not baby proofed. I love this product!

This is a very good playard for the money. We are using it to keep our toddler a safe distance away from the fireplace. It is rather hard to maneuver but once it is set the way, it is very sturdy. I would recommend this to anyone. Very good for the money.

My Dog recently had puppies and I bought this to keep them in while they learn to walk and play, It is wonderful. After they got a little older I would move it outside and this way they were still safe and able to enjoy the grass. I love love love this fence.

Our regular play pen was too tiny for our active 2 year old. This baby gate system is just what we needed. Large and can be expanded with additional sections. A quality product with Walmart having both the best price and .97 cent to the door shipping. Actually chepaer on Walmart.com than in my local store by a few dollars. Sold for much more in other stores. Allows our toddler to play in safety and confort.

My 20 month old son got too big for his playpen. Our house is very difficult to completely child-safe, and I needed a safe way to contain Alex while I took care of other things. This 'pen' came assembled in the box. It sets-up and folds down in seconds...very easily. It is safe, sturdy, and large enough for him to have fun playing without feeling confined. It's even big enough for his 5 year-old brother to join him inside. It's very portable, and can easily be moved to different parts of the house, or folded compactly when not in use. The price was much lower than other products designed to do the same thing.

This gate is a great way to keep your baby contained and safe. I put in toys and watch the baby crawl around to play with them. She also was standing up within days of being in here. Babies are able to pull themselves up. I recommend getting the extension for extra space and for additional children. It's a must have for babies! I only wish it had a door so that I don't have to climb over it. Watch your fingers when snapping the pieces together.

I love this product! I have 11 month old twins and it has truly meant a bit of freedom for me. They love playing in it and being able to pull up on the sides. It is very sturdy and more spacious than I thought it would be. It would be nice to have the extension kit so that they could have more room to crawl around, but the original size is adequate. The only downfall is that it isn't easy to open the sides, but it's not too hard to step over. I bought this product because it was the cheapest one available, and I'm not disappointed in the product at all!

We bought the play yard and extension for our almost 1 year old son. It has been quite helpful. My only issue is that it does not have non-skid material on the bottom and we have hardwood floors so our son is able to move the play yard if we don't have something up against the outer edge. It would probably work much better on carpet. He can pull up to stand and look over the top but cannot get out at this point. Even with the extender it is a little smaller than I had expected but it gives me peace of mind to know that he is not racing off toward any dangerous as I wash dishes in the kitchen which is next to our family room. It is a little difficult to adjust the angles of the pieces but overall we have been very happy with it.

I wanted this for my new Chihuahua who isn't completely housebroken, and it is perfect. Was a little large for my space, so I took out 2 panels and made it a square. Is a great playpen for her while i am at work. Set up was a snap, and I use the other 2 panels as a gate for kitchen. Worth every penny !!

This product is rather large, bulky, and requires a bit of muscling for assembly... and I'm a big guy. Our child immediately hated the huge barrier. If it were in a different color, or if it had more openness it might have been more effective. The openings to see in and out are obscured if you are not at eye level with the child. Why they make it in battleship gray I'm not sure either.
It does work as intended, keeping the child from making it outside of the fence. The "gate" mechanism is simply compressing on one of the sides to release it.
We returned this device promptly and are seeking something easier to use. Folded it's about 1 foot thick if you do not have any of the extensions. Maybe if our child was older this might have worked.(6 months at the time of this writing) If you have an adventurous child and you don't have to look at it, then this might be the product for you.

i was a little skeptical at first about getting this product but once i got it to my house(fed ex had it here in 24 hours standard shipping!!) i put it together after about 10 mins. and of course my son hated it at first. but as with all babies "try try again" after about the 3rd time and me sitting in it with him and playing in it he loves it now. yay!! i hope you other parents have just as much ease if not more with this product. :)
