Hometrends Rave 16-Piece Square Dinnerware Set, Green

I have been looking everywhere for durable square dishes in a modern fun color. These are awesome! They are thick and durable. I found similar dishes for literally double the price elsewhere, when I found these for such a great price I was thrilled! Worth the money for sure!

After looking at these dishes time and time again I finally waited long enough for them to go on sale! I purchased two sets to have a full 8 peice for around $75 dollars. I love them!! After reading other reviews which talked about how the colors didnt match identically I must admit I was a little skeptical but after receiving these I couldnt be happier. Also it was a nice surprise to find such nice heavy dishes at Walmart! I definatly recommend these!

The set looks as it was pictured on the website and seems to be a good buy. The dishes are sturdy and the bowls are pretty deep. Overall I'm satisfied with this purchase.

I got these for Christmas after picking out things I wanted to receive for my new apartment and they are functional and durable as they are attractive. They are all a little different in coloration which gives it more the authentic hand made feel I love the squared plates for everyday.

I had purchased individual pieces of these dishes and I used the plates to deliver a dinner to a new mom. She said she really loved my dishes and she was shocked to learn they were purchased at Walmart. When I saw I could get the entire set on sale for $35.00 I was thrilled. I purchased two sets to have enough pieces to have a buffet dinner. The dishes were indeed inexpensive, but they look like designer dishes.

I ordered this online to ship to my local Wal Mart, everything went very smoothly with the order. I love the dinner service, very good value for money. BUT....now this is important for those people who want to get two sets of this service for a 32 piece set which i decided i did, the color of the sets are not all the same. I have tried to get another set to make my own 16 piece set up to a 32 piece and i have so far gone through 8 different Wal Marts and 8 different sets of these dishes and not one was the same green color as the next. I could not and can not find two sets that match! I am aware that there may be a slight difference in color, but some of the sets were lime green with a dark orange rim around the edges and some sets are dark green with a dark brown rim around with brown specks or a combination of the two!
Saying all that i love my set, (which is the dark green with a brown rim and the brown specks!)
Another word of warning is that what happens if one dish breaks? Yes you can buy individual plates, bowls etc (which i think is a great idea) but again the color match will be different!
So, just a word of warning for the people out there who want a 32 piece set, go with the white!

These dishes look exactly the way they do in the pictures on the website. They are stoneware so be ready for them to be on the heavier side. The only thing I would say takes a little getting used to is that you don't realize how much bigger a square plate seems vs. a circular one, so the size of the dinner plates takes a little getting used to. The color and the stoneware material give the set an organic feel while the clean lines of the set are very contemporary. Those looking for a modern feel to their dinnerware will find this set appealing and comfortable for casual family style dining.

This set is gorgeous. The dinnerware is much heavier than I expected, and I have been afraid since Day 1 that something would break. Yes, eventually a plate broke because the dinner plates are so big and heavy, they are difficult to hold while washing. If you only use a dishwasher, I guess this wouldn't be a problem for you. Otherwise, I have no complaint, just how big and heavy it is. They also match Pfaltzgraff's (sp?) Mint Mocha line - I bought their completer set and it really goes well together.

Overall these dishes are very nice. They are heavier that I expected. One of the plates had a few scratches but I didn't want to go through the hastle of returning one set and ordering another.

I wish there was a completer set. I'll have to lookfor something that compliments the green.

All-in-all I'm happy.
