This a good system for different configurations. The walk-through gate works well. Check the joints and re-tighten often, for they do loosen up if your child touches it often or if you use ethe walk-through gate often. It is a bit pricey, but they all are and compared to the others on the market like it, it is just as good. This was our second purchase . . . one at the bottem of our "open" stairway (in front and then along side the stairs) and the second in front of our fireplace hearth and tv / DVD / receiver / VCR stand. If you don't anchor into the framing behind the wall, buy heavy duty wall anchors and pre-drill the holes, insert the wall anchors, then screw the brackets into the wall.

This product was exactly what we needed to keep our infant away from his older sibling's toys. It was easy to set up and seems very durable. It is more attractive in person than on the box. The gate is easy for grown-ups, but my preschooler can't do it herself yet - that is the only downside. We are thrilled to have found this gate at such a good price!

I bought this for my grandaughter who will be walking soon. The stairway in my son and daughter-in-laws house is very wide and between the walls which makes it uniquely shaped. This gate fit perfectly around both stairways and is secure enough by itself without mounting to the walls.

Although a little pricey, we love this. We used it to fence off our wood-burning stove.
It installed easily and anchored to the wall easily.
The panels are simple to remove to customize for size.

Love this! Had to fence off a play area inside my house for my 14mo old, and this is great! Easy to set up and add on to if need be. You can relocate the gate anwhere along the fence that you need to also. Worked perfectly for our purposes.

We're using this as an enclosed area for my daughter until she's older -particularly to keep my active boys who are 6 and 8 from colliding with her and to keep out their tiny toys from her playspace. When she's walking, we will use it to gate off our kitchenette area. It is very sturdy and will likely travel with us to Grandma's house, too, in the minivan. I would like it better if it were white versus taupe, but is neutral and looks fine. The gate piece works very well. It beats the plastic one because it is far more sturdy when it comes to toddlers shaking/pulling and also your son/daughter will have a better view through bars versus a milk crate pattern. Way better than a pack n play, though I have one in my bedroom for her to hang out in while I fold laundry. Versatile - great quality! And the expansion piece is available as well.

We recently purchased a pellet stove and we wanted something to keep our grandson from it. I also run a daycare and didn't want anyone getting hurt from the stove. I would highly recommend this to anyone for safety's sake. It is made of metal so it won't break down and it is sturdy once up. My husband had no troubles putting it up and we are considering buying another one for our fireplace as well. Good bang for your buck..

Just received this last week. Finally installed it two days ago. Love it. I'm going to use it to block off the area for my Christmas tree. Perfect size for my daughter's play area and Christmas tree. My only wish is that they had one slightly shorter so I could block off my big screen tv.

This is a solid, durable product. The fence is made of metal, with plastic fittings that connect the fence segments together. I set it up as a barrier around my office area to keep my baby away from my computer and other electronic devices. It came with the gate located in one of the end segments. I wanted the gate in a middle segment, and it was a bit confusing to figure out how to disassemble and reassemble it in the configuration I wanted, but now that it's done, it's great. Fittings to attach it to the wall were included, but it stands so firmly on its own that I didn't feel I needed to use these and mess up my walls. Excellent product.

We are using this as a gate rather than a play-yard. We have a 5 ft. opening in that we needed to block next to our stairs and had a hard time finding a durable gate that would fit properly. We also wanted to block the spindle railing that runs along the top side of the stairs because my 1 yr. old can fit through them. This gate is ideal for that because when fully expanded it runs about 10 ft. long, so it blocks the opening and the wide rails.

This gate is what I expected. I needed something to keep my toddler out of my computer area and the entrance is an odd shape. As long as you screw into the stud or use drywall anchors, it stays in place. It is not the prettiest gate (prefer wood but could not find). I bought it from wal-mart because it was the cheapest I could find for this gate.

Actually, I gave my gate to my daughter for my granddaughter's bunny rabbit. What a mistake! How I wish I had it back! My granddaughter now has a baby boy, and I need this gate ... not any other kind, I need this one. I will order another, and I will also order the two additional sides. We purchased this when our daughter became able to climb out of the plastic version of this and this product gives us the peace of mind when we can't be there to chase after her as she normally wants to get into everything. It is very sturdy and solidly constructed, I wish we would have purchased this one first since we only got 7 months out of the plastic one. We purchased 2 sets with a swing door and connected them together which provides plenty of space for her to play walk around and have access to all of her toys at the same time. It is also portable and not necessary to attach to any walls which is very nice.

Great product - very sturdy and easy to use. Can be formed to many shapes. Also has a gate on one side. The drawback to this product is that it is relatively expensive and the six panels are not long enough to form a resonable playing area in which your child won't feel like he/she is imprisoned. Otherwise, it's great to block off areas.

I got this to serve double duty as a gate across an archway, and as a play yard. I'm very happy with it. I had seen some reviews of the plastic version, and several people noted that the plastic would crack and leave sharp edges. No such worries with this gate, it's quite heavy duty -- something I wanted since I plan to have more children and hate to 'double buy'. Also, the bars are nice because my daughter can see me much better than with the other one. The extensions will be a must when she gets a little older, and I also wish they sold an additional gate separately. However, overall I am very satisfied and glad I spent the extra.

The gate is better than we expected. Sturdy enough that we almost considered not mounting it on the wall, but our pug and the cat are a little too hyper to try that. The instructions could have been slightly more clear, but it might just be me...hahaha. Mounting once you figure out where to drill the holes (correctly!) it's easy. We have it set up in like an "L" shape in the "breakfast area" of our apartment. Absolutely love this gate!!!!
