This Audiovox 9" Class LCD Drop Down TV has a built-in DVD player, and can be installed just about anywhere. Perfect for kitchens, work rooms, small studios or any other living space, the LCD TV with built-in DVD player is versatile and compact. With an ATSC/NTSC tuner, AM/FM clock radio, stereo speakers, a cooking timer and multi-angle selection, this Audiovox 9" VE927 TV is packed with useful features and makes an entertaining addition to any home. The LCD TV with built-in DVD player comes with a remote control, an easy-to-follow instruction manual and mounting accessories. Place under your kitchen cabinet, under garage storage or even in your bathroom — this Audiovox 9" Class LCD Drop Down TV goes where you need it.
We had a similar product with a smaller screen, same features minus the DVD player with a 7" screen also made by Audiovox that quit working correctly after a few years. We would have to tap on the side of it to get a picture and it only became worse over time until finally no amount of tapping would get you a picture after a total of 8 years. Anyway this isn't about that one. I didn't really want to get another Audiovox brand due the issues I mentioned but these under the counter T.V.'s with even mediocre reviews are hard to find. This model has the most positive reviews out of all of the ones I looked at and I think I looked at them all. This one was a lot easier to mount as the screws go in from the top which means you just take the dishes out of the counter, lay down the included template where you want to put the T.V. and you are good to go after drilling some holes. We use this with Dish Network tuning in on CH 3 and letting the receiver do all the work so I can't comment on the channel scanning abilities. The picture is plenty big for even a medium size kitchen and can be seen from pretty much any angle. I can't imagine anyone needing more preset radio stations saved than this one is able to save as I was even entering ones I might listen to once a year. I have not tried the DVD/CD player and probably never will but I'm sure some of you will need and want that feature which is nice. The remote buttons are tiny but not unusually so and these kinds of issues only seem to bother me as I get older. The T.V. swivels to all angles and also folds up out of the way and it stays there rather nicely. The only complaint I have is the same as almost everyone else, the sound. It's o.k. but could be better and no amount of adjustment seems to make me happy. It's not a deal killer but if you can't stand bad audio it might bug you. The way things are made today if I get 5 years out of it I will be happy. Anything after that is a bonus.

Screen is not mat so room background is reflected on the screen. Given the size of the screen ie pixels - could be better clarity.

I previously owned an Audiovox drop down tv which had better sound and picture quality. I am not pleased with the newer model. Also the older model could be mounted under a cabinet or put on a counter with the screen being able to be reversed. This 9" model only allows for it to be mounted under the cabinet.

The only complaint that I have is the size of the screen. Its very small. We purchased this unit for our RV and we hung it under a cabinet. When we sit on the couch about 5 ft away, the picture is too small. This unit would be much better if they designed it with a 12 inch screen. Other than the size of the picture, it is a very good unit.

Great TV, Excellent to have in Kitchen

Absolutely love the tv. It is so handy under the cabinet. It swivels so you can see it from any side of the kitchen. AND even if one viewer is sitting on the far end of the kitchen/dining area, almost horizontally to the side of the tv and someone else is in the kitchen cooking all the way to the other side, you can face the tv screen so it faces 90 degrees between you and you can both see the tv screen with NO problems or loss of quality! Not a usual feat for a flat screen tv. AMAZING!
The only 2 downsides are: the batteries in the remote sometimes have to be tapped so they are well seated and work the remote. and we can't figure out how to turn on the closed captioning when in tv mode. It works when watching a DVD, but there doesn't seem to be the option for just tv viewing??
But LOVE IT, and so do all our friends, they are sooo jealous!

Only criticism I had was not knowing it did not have closed caption---company said "they are not required to include it below a 15" screen. I would have probably bought it anyway, though. Also, when I emailed Audiovox to ask about the closed caption, they promised a reply within 72 hours. I had an answer in less than 4 hours! Needless to say, I was quite pleased with their responsiveness. PS: Installation was simple, given the enclosed template.

I am very pleased with this drop down TV. The picture and quality are excellent and the features are very user friendly. Since I've done my Kitchen remodel...this tv fits snuggly under a 15" cabinet. I would recommend an 18" cabinet if you have the space. All of my friends and family want to order one. Just one tip to remember when installling is to flip over the template so the holes you drill will match up with the tv.

I had to replace my old under the cabinet tv (ntsc) analog tuner to the atsc (digital) now in service . The screen is a lot bigger than before which is nice and it has a dvd player. The remote works so so, but the buttons on the player are great. I would recommend this to a friend as long as they have the room under the counter to mount it.

While this TV is nice-looking, it is very hard to install. I have had several of these under counter TV's before and they were easier to use. On this TV, you have to program in each channel, each time you want to change the channel. Only channels 2-3-4 will move using the channel selector - all others must be put in each time you want another program. The price is good on this TV, but it takes a contractor to install it. Mine is still sitting on the kitchen counter on top of books.

I am not electronic at all and I had this in and working in minutes (my husband drilled the holes for me). It fits prefectly under a small shelf and folds out of the way when not in use. Excellent for a small kitchen. Well worth the money and a great value for the price.

We think we will enjoy this product very much. Unfortunately, it arrived broken. After opening the box and trying to operate it, we found that the CD/DVD tray does not open and close properly. So we are currently trying to find the time to return this product to Wal-mart and get a replacement.

Have this in my kitchen under a cabinet. Been using this for over 6 months now and have never experienced any issues. Watch this all the time since my kids hog the 46" TV in the living room. Considering the size and the purpose of this product, picture & sound quality are pretty good. Radio reception is very clear but a bit of a pain to tune. Issues I have is that the LCD display is too weak to be seen from over 2 feet away. Also the access to the input ports in the back is difficult once it is mounted. Overall, very satisfied with this unit. Highly recommended.

Other than the radio I am very pleased with this product. The picture is good, the DVD player works well, and surprisingly the sound is even good. The only thing that is nearly worthless is the radio reception. We have tons of local radio stations but only one comes in strong enough to receive without static, and you can forget about AM stations. As others have noted, the mounting is rather confusing as the template is supposed to be laid INSIDE the cupboard, not outside as every other under-counter product I've seen, which is confusing and poor planning.
