I've been disppointed in the past with a Maxtor purchase but this one was a homerun. The jump in performance from an older, slower drive to this SATA II (thank god my 3 year old computer was SATA 150 comp) was jaw dropping. A better improvement in performance than my RAM upgrade. I've added the 500 to 750GB due to my video editing and couldn't have been more pleased.
