I got this game the first day it came out, the limited edition game. Its an amazing game, if you have played all the other metal gears, you get a sense of nostalgia when you meet certain places or people. Graphics are top notch, its like your part of a movie. Game play is great, difficulty level can be changed to various types, so who ever said it was easy, try playing it in Big Boss Extreme. Online play is great too, a bit of a learning curve but amazing none the less. If you own a Ps3 You must purchase this game. Enough Said.

this game was suppost to be one one the best made from their trilogy but i dont see it at all! the game is way to easy for the most part and player speed is way to slow! i dont like this game at all i wouldnt recomend buying it if your looking at getting it!

As my stars imply, the game exceeds expectations. Note: I am a veteran of the series, and expect certain quality of game play and cut scenes. The game MORE THAN delivers with this. It still has the long beautiful cut scenes and intense game play. There were point where I had to do a double-take to ensure it was a cinematic, and not live action. No joke. The visuals are beyond amazing. The game play, especially if you have a big TV and surround sound, will consume you. When it's meant to be dark, it's dark. When it's meant to me sad, it's sad. And when it's meant to feel like you just got your convoy demolished, it feels like you got thrown out of a personnel carrier. I played the game 4 times, and on each difficulty, to experience to most from the game, but I also need the 4 times to make it last half a week. The game is very short. Playing complete stealth with no alerts only took a days time, but that's to be expected from any skilled gamer/veteran of the series.
The only genuinely bad thing I have to say about this game is rather minuscule, but after playing three the almost medpack style healing is just a disappointment. I was hoping to stitch up and bandage my wounds. Anyway... Good game, great cinema, multiple play aspects. Buy it.

I have been gaming for 11 years now. When I bought this game, I was soooommmewhat new to the series but I had seen it on the ps2 a bit. THIS IS HANDS DOWN THE BEST GAME I HAVE EVER PLAYED IN MY LIFE. I have owned all 3 next gen consoles, and none of the games even compare. The story line is incredible and feels like it's never going to end (Which is a good thing). You go to so many random places and there are so many plot twists. The ending...wow, I can't even describe it, you'll just have to see for yourself. The graphics are amazing. After all they spent four years making this game. You should see the original trailer and then the final trailer and see how much better they made the graphics. This game really does the ps3 justice because the lead developer of the game said that they needed the ps3's processor to make this game and the 360's wouldn't be strong enough. The only thing that was a tad wierd for me was the online, especially trying to switch weapons, but still, thaty is insignificant. IF YOU ARE A PS OWNER THIS IS A MUST BUY. AFTER I WAS DONE WITH THE GAME, I THINK I WOULD HAVE BEEN WILLING TO PAY TRIPLE OR MORE! You just don't get how this could be a $60 dollar game after you play it. It makes your other games look bad lol. BUY IT!!!

This game is the best Metal Gear Solid game I have ever played. The gameplay, the weapons, the technology, the intense action, the storyline, it's all worth the $50.00 you pay. Online gameplay is the best. You can customize your own player. If you don't like him, you can make a new one a week later, unlike SOCOM: Confrontation, or Call of Duty: World at War. Speaking of those two, they're dry because MGS4 blew them out of the water! I own all three of these games mentioned. MGS4 completely destroys the MGS series' gameplay, but I like it!

This is quite possibly the best game currently available for the ps3. Not only is it the only game other than GTA 4 to get a 10. It is one of the best storyline driven games and some of the best looking cut scenes. This game is one of the ones that should not be missed. Even if you are not a fan of the metal gear solid series, you will be amazed by the story and graphics and gameplay. This game is definitely a must have for any ps3 owner. This game will have every one in awe. This is truly a good conclusion to the metal gear saga. This game is also amazing online. This game will have you playing online forever. This game totally blew me away. The story line, the twists, the characters....... The only disappointment i had was that the thrills and chills I had playing the game will never be the same. The game play itself is superior to any other game. The graphics are very detailed and specific with facial expressions and environment. The story line itself will keep you on your toes and at the edge of your seat. It is so dramatic and suspensful, I have family and friends that would even prefer to watch me play the game rather than play it themselves. YOU DON'T EVEN HAVE TO PLAY TO APPRECIATE THE GAME. I recommend that if you like drama and suspense and like to be involved in it through game play, you should purchase this game as soon as possible.
