We received the product within the scheduled time. When it arrived we immediatly labeled the boards and separated them. I used chalk, and it wiped right off with a damp cloth when we were done. We also separated the hardware by phase and kept in Ziploc baggies. When we started it all went smoothy. We tarted on Saturday morning and finished around lunch on Sunday. We do have 3 children, and noone to help with the, It was a breeze to set up and the kids could not be happier. The quality is pretty good. I feellike we will get alot of use out it.

After reading all the user reviews, my husband and I decided this would be an excellent Christmas gift. Now that it is together it was worth the money. Before you being putting this together, PLEASE sort the pieces. Nothing is labeled!! The directions stink. Some of the pictures are misleading on which direction the pieces go. Some of the pieces are not predrilled, so you will have to do it. If you buy this product you MUST treat the wood or the warrenty is voided. Do not leave the pieces out in the rain before you put the swingset together. The wood has only been stained for color. Also, for the fort floor you will need to buy a 2x4 for under neath. The floor is not that sturdy. It only allows for a max weight of 173 lbs. The swing area is only 10 ft tall so if you have older children it they cannot swing very high. It was a pain to put together, but worth it. Our kids ages 1, 8, and 11 are very happy it is put together and excited it is done. If it lasts 3 years we will be happy! It was a good purchase for the money.

It took my husband and I a full weekend to build this swingset. Really the only complaints we had was that some of the wood pieces were not predrilled. But make sure you predrill or it will splinter the wood. We found that out real quick. Other than that it wasnt hard to follow directions, but it is time consuming.

I am writing this review 7 months after we purchased the swing set. I wanted to wait to write it because when I was looking for a swing set to buy, I found the Pathfinder and most all the reviews were from people who had recently bought it. I was wondering how it would hold up through the summer. I have to say, we are very happy with this swing set. We played on it all Spring, Summer and Fall and I am thrilled that my 2 1/2 year old daughter never got bored with it. She calls it "Lola's Park". I would recommend this product to people. The price was the eye catcher & it, so far, has been a wonderful purchase! My husband thought it was very easy to put together and did it in just a few hours. (He is a carpenter though). I do not need to put any tips in here because everyone else already said what I would say anyway and you don't need to hear it again. Good Luck and enjoy.

My 2 and 6 y/o girls love it!!! It was a chore putting it together by myself, but it was well worth the effort. The only thing you will have to get help for is putting the slide together. Very sturdy set. Label the wood before you start (Chalk works great). Easy to read instructions w/illustrations. The bags of nuts, bolts, etc are labeled, so just cut the tops off of the bags.

Fortunately I took the time to read the reviews before we bought this playset so I knew how important it was to layout all the parts to make sure they were all there and to label them (since the wood doesn't come labeled) before we got started. I admit that this took me about two hours just to unpack the box, layout the various parts and label the wood. (It's a shame that the wood doesn't come prestamped with labels.) I laid everything out on the ground in the same order that they were in the picture and then labeled everything. I had to measure some of the wood to make sure that I was labeling it correctly. It probably would have taken my husband and I two whole days to complete it but we started on a Sunday and then had to go to work on Monday so it ended up taking us about a week because we could only work on it for a couple hours each night. My son is only 2 and a half but he's very active and he loves it. I think it's perfect for him but he'll need a bigger one by the time he's 8 or 9. The wood is nice but not as thick as the ones you see at HomeDepot being sold for 1200 or more. You always get what you pay for so keep in mind that for the price this is a great playset. If you have the funds to buy the 1200 and up versions feel free but this is what we could afford at the time and I think it will be perfect for the next 7 years. Oh, you'll also want to make sure you have a drill with the right size bits. We had the drill but were missing the bit that is used the most often so we had to buy it.

This swing set was very easy to put together, just takes time! It really helped by labeling all the boards first, that saves a lot of time. The only thing I had a problem with was some of the boards split and some felt a little soft, other than that it is great! I think it is a good purchase for the money.

We wanted a nice looking swing set but didn't want to pour in alot of money into it. This is exactly what we wanted for our 4 year old and 2 year old. Best part is that we can add to it as we go. Set-up took quite a while, but well worth it to see the glow on my daughter's faces. I anticipate many long hours of watching them play from my kitchen window!

We purchased this product early summer. It took awhile for husband to assemble but was well worth it. My son and his friends loved to play on it. My son is 2 1/2 and it works great. The sandbox area is great for Carter. He is able to play outside and not have to worry about the sun. I am even able to swing a little bit on it and dont' have to worry. I would recommend. For the money it is a great value.I looked at Menards and something comparable was easily close to $700-$1000. Very affordable.

We bought this playset for my 1 1/2 year old son and it is a very sturdy nice looking playset. It took my husband & dad around 8-10 hours total to put together and I think the only reason it took that long is because they didn't do what all the other reviews said to do which is...MARK ALL your peices before you ever get started, that probably would have saved them a few hours. The wood has that wonderful cedar smell when you open the box and alot of the pieces have pre-drilled holes to make things even easier. My biggest suggestion(besides pre-marking everything) would be to wait and tighten all the bolts AFTER you've gotten the fort & slide section together because no backyard is perfectly level and leaving them loose until you've gotten everything together gives the wood a chance form to the shape of YOUR backyard. All in all, we totally LOVE it and my son absolutely loves the slide!

Our swing set
It took my husband half of a saturday and part of sunday to put the swing set together. My mother-in-law bought the swing set for my 3 year old son for his birthday/christmas present. She wanted him to have it early so he can enjoy it before it gets too cold. My husband laid all the parts of the wood out and labeled them with tape. Some parts to him were a pain to put together but my neighbors husband helped him as much as he could. Our son LOVES his swing set. Our cat seems to like it too. He will climb on it and look down at us. I am so glad we decided to get this swing set for him. We did have to pay for it to be shipped to our home since they didn't have the site to store on this product since it was so heavy. It was all well worth.

I was very disappointed in this product. All the holes were not pre-drilled. That took a lot of time to do. The slide is a "joke", not even a real slide, just a board with sides. There was missing hardware pieces. Some of the holes that were pre-drilled did not match up. It was disappointing to pay that kind of money for this quality.

I did not label any of the parts as suggested by others and assembly only took about 12 hours. I only have two complaints 1) shipping took a week longer than promised (a day is too long when you're paying $140 for shipping) and 2) the cedar is extremely soft and prone to splitting, so be careful.
That being said, this is still one of the best deals out there.

We opted to buy this set out-of-season for our sons 4th birthday. We missed getting him one in the spring and was wanting to get him something he "needed". I read all the reviews and looked at multiple sets offered here and other websites. I am confident we made a good choice. He loves it!! My husband put it together within 8 hours start to finish. The sorting and labeling tips were very handy. He only needed help putting together the slide. The only concern I have is the durability/ quality of the wood. You get what you pay for and won't get the same quality as the $1000 sets for $399. I believe it is an excellent compromise and well worth the money. The look on his face was worth every dime!

We followed all of the advice on the sorting and marking the wood....best advice ever. My husband had everything sorted, marked and some components put together in just a few hours. It took most of today to get it put together, but it was relatively easy. Just a large swingset. It is a nice size, looks very nice and the use of 2x4s in the place of the 4x4s of other sets is not noticeable. It feels and looks as substantial as comparable sets...at a much lower price!

I love the swing set. It has kept my Grandkids quite busy today, the first day in use. It took a little longer than had expected to assemble. Worked on it from around 10:30 am to about 6:00 pm. My son and husband worked hard on it to get it done before dark, they did it. It was delivered before the estimated date, which work out great, as I had plans to go away the weekend that it was scheduled to be delivered. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone.

We purchased the swing set almost 2 weeks ago, and our almost 2 year old daughter loves it. It is the perfect size for her, and she can climb up the ladder by herself. It is better for smaller children, I would say 2 - 7 year olds. Took my husband and mother in law 9 - 10 hours to put it together, but he had everything organized good before he started. Was worth it though cause she enjoys it everyday.

This product is very good for the money. The assembly is easy as long as you are very disiplined in following the directions. It took me about 14 hours from the time I opened the box to the time the kids were using it (that included leveling the set in the yard) There are a handful of times you definitely need another adult. The one bad thing is the swings are very close together and I foresee them running into eachother.
