We bought this playset for our children, and they absolutely love it. We organized all wood and hardware before assembly, which made things go more smoothly. I'd definitely advise assembling the playset when kids are not present - it would make the process go much faster! We too used a stronger staking system than the one provided, but for the money, you can't beat this playset.

We purchased this gym about 4 months ago, and the kids love it. They are 5 and 2. We put it together with our neighbor's help, over a 3 day weekend, without much trouble. It's holding up pretty well, but we do think the bench area is a little cheaply made and we have to shore that up with extra boards. Other than that, it's a great set. You absolutely have to mark each piece as you unpack, though, in order to save yourself a huge headache.

I must say that putting this swing set was a challenge but it was well worth it!!! My daughter can't get enough of it!! It took 3 people to put it togeter and it was very helpful to read previous reviews....I would tell anyone to get one who has a child that is 3 and older.....After opening the boxes it is best to label each part to save time.......:)

I would definatly go with a better quality wood insted of the balsa wood in this set. The 100+ pieces of lumber would be easier to figure out if they were marked. Having to measure each piece of wood kinda slowed the process alot. The instructions weren't very clear but my father-in-law and I figured it out and got the set together in about 12 hours. Now that the set is together I have a feeling the wood will not last to long, but I can replace with pressure treatedwood when needed.

hours of entertainment for our almost 3-year old! we hired a handyman and his guy to put it together, but also followed the advice of previous reviewers and recommended to them that they label everything as they unpacked. it took the 2 of them a total of 6 hours, which was pretty good we thought. anyway, so far, our daughter LOVES this swingset. it is a great deal for the price.

Great set for the money! My daughter loves it. I looked for weeks deciding whicy playset to purchase. So glad this is the one I went with. Good price for the set, but the s&h is way overpriced!! Wish could have done a ship to store and saved me a ton of money! Only took my boyfriend about 7-8 hours to put together. I know my daughter will spend hours and hours with this.

This swing set is a great value. So far it is sturdy and can handle several kids playing on it. It has only been up for about 3 weeks. It took my husband about 15-20 hours to put together but he was alone and he is pretty handy. You do need to label all the pieces before you start. You need to have an electric drill too. The swing set is a great size and has everything my daughters wanted. I think for the money it is well worth it.

After ordering my new swing set for the kids on 9/22 I finally received it on 10/13. This was over 7 days later than what Walmart had said. I do not blame Walmart, it was the local shipper that was the hold up. Mayflower was the local shipper who delivered it. After contacting Walmart regarding my problem with the shipping, I requested a refund and With in 6 hours of my online inquire, someone from Walmart telephoned me personally to appoligize and to refund my shipping cost. Other than that, it takes about 10 hours to put together the play set. Kids are having a fun time.

After reading about two hundred reviews (at least) while waiting for this swingset to arrive, I had made about two pages of notes, taking in everybodys helpful tips on what to do, and what not to do, during assembly. I feel it helped the assembly process go much more smoothly than if I had not read them. I put this set up by myself in about 10 hours over the course of two days. I dont think you need to be a carpenter or anything to pull this off like some suggest. Just label every piece of wood with the appropriate letter(s) with chalk. (You can hose it off afterwards). All the hardware is labeled in seperate bags. I didnt see any need to seperate in cups by phase. Just organize it neatly on a card table or something and cut the corners of all the bags with a pair of scissors. Definitely Re-enforce the bottom of the Rockwall/ladder assembly with a two by four on each side, predrill and attach to the base of the fort. Otherwise it can be easily be pulled up and ripped right off. Unfortunately I dont have a pic to show what Im talking about, but a few other reviewers do and I think this is important. Find these pics and execute this if you can. All in all everything went very smoothly. No missing parts at all. No damaged, warped, or cracked wood when it arrived and the instructions were EXTREMELY clear except for one issue when it has you drilling holes into the Top of the slide WAY to early in the process. Definitly wait until you have to attach it to the fort. Ive had this set for two weeks now and my 3 year old daughter couldnt be happier! I go down the slide with her on my lap with no issues and I weigh 180 pounds. You cant beat the price! And it looks FANTASTIC when completed! Great addition to the yard! Walmart hit a home run with this one!

It is pretty much what we expected. The only bad thing were the instructions. They were terrible! It took my husband two days to put it together due to the assembly instructions. The pieces of wood do not have any printed numbers or letters that can show if A and B goes together. Other than that, it is OK. We liked the price and the kids enjoy the playset.

I received the swing set boxes on Tuesday, and I found out the Fort Ground Beam was broken. Wednesday morning I called the company asking for a new beam, and I was told it would arrive at my home Saturday morning. Today is Tuesday and I have not received the replacement beam. I called the company, and they do not have the part and they do not know when I will receive it. Because the broken piece is the fort support and the fort supports the swing set beam, I can not assemble the swing set. Can you imagine how my 7 and 3 years old kids are dissapointed?

The product is great. Purchased this for grandkids and they are having a great time. Shipping leaves a lot to be desired as the swing set sat in it's original location for a week after it was ordered before starting it's journey. Went right by the grandkid's birthday. Other than that no problems.

I followed the majority of the advice given here and had no problems at all ... 1. pre-label wood 2. use wood stakes instead of what was in the shipment 3. raise the arch ways
I also did not want the sandbox/picnic table look so I purchased cedar siding and treated wood flooring. I made a doll house instead.

I was nervous about buying this swing set. other people on here said it was flimsey. I on the otherhand think it is a good buy for the money. takes about 2 - 3 afternoons by myself to put together, instuctions were helpful. Make sure to get a 1/2 nut driver to put in all the lag bolts/screws. Saved alot of time. Also used tupperware bowls to put all the swrews, bolts and parts in... made it alot easier to keep up with all the parts. ALL the KIDS in our neighborhood love it. Just wish they had one to keep their kids at home!!!!! LOL

Firstly, this product is not avail in store so you have to order it. Shipping is almost the same price as product.
Assembling it was a PAIN IN THE BEHIND. The logs were not marked, had to guess which log it was. For example, in one of the pics it shows a log with three holes. There are many logs with three holes of different sizes.
Some things could have been made easy. For example, they ask you to drill in couple of places on the log. Why cant the manufacturer have done it themself to make it easy for us?
The playset is good and looks good. However, it took us about 20 man hours to do it (incl reading instructions). It definitely requires 2-3 people doing it. Even though website says its 8-12 man hours, its more than that because sometimes figuring out instructions takes time too.
Overall, I am happy with the playset but not happy with the amount and effort and poor directions.

As with most of the reviews on here, this set is good given its price. The directions could have been more clear in some instances, but if you set aside the recommended 12 hour time period (we actually broke it up over several evenings and finished one Saturday), you can work your way through them. Definitely add more support under the fort floor if you have older children and raise the arched boards.
I plan to seal it soon because I know that pretty cedar color won't last long!
