I like the Sony E-Book reader because I enjoy reading alot and when I go on vacation or away for the weekend I don't have to carry several books with me. It's very light weight.

I thought that the product was a bit too expensive and spent a considerable amount of time looking for the best deal. After recieving it, I was pleasently suprised that the reader screen did in fact read like paper. So much so in fact, that I still find myself reaching to change the page like it was a real book. It is slow in rendering pictures and changing pages, however I bought it to read books rather than veiw pictures. It is small and light, perfect for all of my travels.
I can recommend this product for anyone that is on the go and has the money for this convenience. Being a bit pricey, I would not recommend it for those that have to think twice about the price. The reading experience is NOT better than a real book, just merely more convenient for those that have lots of books that they would like to take with them.

I bought this gift for my husband as a birthday gift and as a resolve for my storage problems. He is an avid reader and devours books. The problem is that we live in an rv and there is limted storage for books. This is the answer to my prayers. The books are easily downloaded and I don't have to use shelf space for these new books. He is reading at a faster rate since it has magnification and he doesn't have to worry about laying on his side to read. It is compact and travels well. We a both extremely happy.

The Sony E-Reader PRS 505-SC is the greatest thing I have ever invested in. It's small enough to take with you and can hold 160 books! A friend recommended this to me and I was doubtful that I would use it once the new wore off. Wrong! I take it everywhere with me. If I'm in the doctor's office and they are running behind (as usual), I just pull my E-reader out of my purse and escape. It is very user friendly. Downloads are super fast and simple to do. This is by far the best investment I have made in a long time.

I've had this reader for almost a week and it's without a doubt well worth the wait. Also, since it's Sony's third generation of e-readers, seems like the bugs have been worked out of this one. Everybody asks me if I have trouble using it in sunlight and I explain to them it's designed to be used in the light and let them try it out in the sunlight and they're surprised there's no problem with sunlight glare. I look forward to putting this product through it's paces when I go on deployment soon. Love to read but don't like carrying around all those books.

I bought the reader for my husband's birthday because he loves books. He is so thankful for the present, because the reader is so compact, light, portable, and can accomodate many e-books. He brings the reader everywhere he goes. However, the reader doesnt have any built-up light. You have to use extra reader light when your room doesnt have a good lighting.

I really enjoy reading on this little Sony Reader. It's easy to carry around, I can read more than one book at a time. I can mark my current page in the book as well as any other page that has a passage or scene I may want to revisit. In addition the free classic books offered by Sony's e-books is a wonderful benefit. I'm reading some classic literature that I always wanted to read but never had the opportunity. My daughter also loves it and even asked if I would buy her one for Christmas!

This is just wonderful I have had another ebook and it was so small that I would mislay it . This book reader is so easy to read and I can slip it in my purse whenever I go out. I am never without it. It also downloads the books so much faster and the battery stays recharged much longer. Feel safe to buy this product you will love it if you are a avid reader. I do wish the accessories were more available, as I would like to change covers.

This product has really exceeded my expectations. I wasn't sure I would like the display and the way that pages turn, but I don't even notice it any more.
It is definitely a great way to read, especially if you travel because now you don't have to carry all those books around.

I've had my Sony reader for a few weeks now and I am thrilled with it. I've had no problems at all with any of it's functionality. This is a great item, either as a gift, or as a personal treat, for anyone who loves to read and loves to take their books with them when they go places.

I love this thing. It is very easy to read and loads quickly. There are however some changes I would make if I could.
The next page buttons on the side are too small. I have not tried but think I would like the wireless option available with Amazon's Kindle. Some kind of back light availability for reading in low light or dark conditions.
These are almost insignificant things I see that might make it even better, but just to reiterate, I love it.
