This friction mount is great. It works well in our mini van and my husband is a whiplash driver. Whipping you side to side and back and forth yet the mount and GPS stays put and can be taken down and set in back where the windows are darkened so it can't be seen that you might have one to be stolen.

The friction mount works out great. My car's dash is slanted and smooth and the mount works great with my 360 Garmin. The mount holds everything secure
with out any damage to the finish and of course you have the option of using it in another vehicle. It also eliminates the evidence of having a GPS in you auto..

I'm sure after I've really been able to test this friction mount that I'd be able to give it 5 stars. But in the few really "short" trips I've taken around town it really does stay put. I really like the fact that I can remove my GPS and easily hide the mount to help discourage theives.

I originally wanted a built in dash GPS as I feared the portable GPS rolling around the dash. Have no fear...the GPS stays put, just where you want it with this holder. It even has a lock so that it cannot turn when you make a turn.
Had it propped up on a slanted dash board and it did not move from where it was placed.
Worth its weight in GOLD !

I have had a Garmin Nuvi now for two years. I love the gadget, but I hated the suction cup windshield attachment. It kepth falling off from the hot sun here in Florida. The new friction mount is a great alternative. It never moves on my SUV dash no matter how hard I hit the brakes.

Call me stupid, but I couldn't figure out how to use this thing. There are no instructions, no guidelines and no pictures of it with the GPS showing how it is supposed to be set up. I had to return this and use the window attachment that was included with my GPS. Very frustrating.

The Garmin GPS friction mount is a necessity for the GPS unit. It makes it very easy to put on and off of the dash, and can be adjusted to any angle. My only complaint is the price. I think it is way over priced.

This product is great. It stays put and allows me to "hide" my GPS unit when I am parked somewhere. This keeps the criminal elements from seeing (& stealing) my NUVI. I used to not hide the unit when I had a windshield suction cup. Wal-Mart was the only store around that had it, was cheaper then any on-line retailer and I love free shipping using Ship-to-Store
