I wish I had known about this product sooner. I love how it is a bumper pad that covers the whole crib & over the sides. My 10 month old son kept pulling down or kicking down the skinny breathable bumper pad. I really needed something that will cover the whole thing. This has worked great. His feet don't get stuck anymore, even when he kicks & he doesn't pull down the bumper pad. The only negative (& this is why I didn't give it a 5) is that at the bottom it often gets undone & I have to pull it down again. This might just be my fault in that I didn't put it on right. My son's paci's also get stuck in there, but it is no big deal to just dig out. Over all I have been very happy with this product. As I said I wish I knew of this from the start. I would not have bothered with the skinny bumper pad.

This crib shield was purchased to go on the crib of my 1 year old. Prior to the installation of the crib shield, she would wake up 1-2 hours after going to bed and would only go back to sleep in a portable play crib with mesh sides. Since the crib shield was installed, she now sleeps all night! Installation was easy and quick. My only complaint with the crib shield is that the end pieces do not stretch all the way from one side of the crib to the other side; but that doesn't seem to bother my little one.

I think this product is great. I like that its mesh, not solid fabric. Only prob is that the front panel doesnt slide down well when lowering the front gate of the crib, but this bumper fits better than traditional crib bumpers anyway. Excellent overall, I would buy this type again.

I initially bought this product because my daughter figured out how to climb out of the crib using her regular bumper. I decided not to leave the crib empty because then she would get her feet and legs stuck in the rails so I needed something like this breathable shield. For the most part it does do what it is supposed to. However, my husband had to go to Lowe's to buy extra Velcro strips and attach them to the top of the crib. This product is advertised as "fitting all crib types" but that is obviously not the case. We have a sleigh crib and had to make these velcro adjustments before it could really be used as intended. Overall, an "okay" product, and really the only kind of product like this out there.

This product is easy to attach to a crib and does just as it says...keeps arms and legs inside the crib. My son has a bad habit of lying on his back and putting his legs through the crib slats. I was concerned about him injuring himself, but am no longer since using this product.

I bought this for 9 month old because he would wake in the middle of the night because his arms or legs would be caught hanging out of the crib! This worked from the second I put it on! Only thing to watch for is when he is awake he likes to stand up in the crib and the two end sections come right down (un-velcro) when he tries to pull up on them. So I have to re-attach them when I go in to get him up. But I just don't leave him in the crib awake so that solved that problem. Really love the product for what it was designed for keeping arms & legs inside! Thank you!!!

This Crib Shield is being used in conjunction with the Breathable Crib Bumpers and as a set they provide the protection needed for my grandson. He is very active and this prevents his arms and legs from getting caught in the rails.

I would have given this 5 stars, but the reason I didn't is because once you got it on, you can only put a crib mobile on one of the ends. There are no slots for the side rails.
This is a great product. I was affraid of my baby rolling over into one of those padded crib bumpers. I've been using this and he does great! He is scooting and turning around in the crib now (he's 4 months) and his legs can't get caught in the rungs of the crib. It washes great (just be sure to close the velcro before washing). I learned to always close the velcro on ANYTHING that has velcro before washing. So, so far, so good. We've been using it for like a month now.

I was going to use this product since my daughter recently started biting the wood on her crib. It is a Munire convertible crib and the edges of my crib were too wide for this product. Otherwise it would have been perfect. Nicely made.

I liked everything about this product except that on my crib it didn't totally cover the ends and I made sure that I installed it correctly. There is still a gap on the ends of the crib that the infant can still reach through. But it still is better than not having it at all.

this item is great if you have the crib that it fits. i was having a terrible time finding something to use on my crib and i thought this would fit, but there are only 3 cribs that it does fit. i made it work because it is the best thing that i found to use if your worried about baby getting there legs caught between rails, if u don't want to use bumpers, and/or you worry about your child gnawing on the crib. this product is very easy to install also, i would recommend this product but make sure you have the specified crib it goes with.

This crib shield is recommended by safety experts, so I would use it even if it weren't as good as it is. It takes a bit of time and thought to install it, but the velcro fasteners worked well, and the fit for our standard drop side crib was almost perfect. The only thing I don't like is the gap it leaves on the ends between the 2 outside slats and the corner piece. I don't think it will fall down because the long sides lap over the top rails, unlike the smaller version, which looks about the size of conventional crib bumpers.

The only downside is that the corners are not covered. Other than that, it protects my baby from getting "stuck" in the rails. I really like that it covers the entire rail, and that we can still adjust the front rail when picking her up out of the crib. It works better than bumpers for us. :)

I purchased the crib shield when my daughter was about 8 months old. She's a great sleeper, but moves a lot, and I was constantly finding her with arms or legs sticking through the slats. She also kept dropping out the many pacifiers I'd leave in her crib.
As the owner of the Tots In Mind Crib Tent, we used it for my older son to keep the cat out, I was hoping this shield would be similar minus the tent part so the video monitor could still view my daughter sleeping and not just mesh. It is, to some degree.
The pros: It does help keep the pacifiers, arms and legs inside the crib.
The cons: It does not go around the entire crib -- we have a very basic crib, slats all around, and yet the end panels don't go from one end to the other, there is still one slat on each side that is without netting. My daughter learned very quickly to drop pacifiers out this hole. She hasn't gotten and arm or leg stuck out it though.
The end panels do not go up and over the top of the crib like on the long side panels. Instead, it velcros on around the sides of the slats. As I was putting it on this kind of bothered me and sure enough, two months later and my daughter is now using it to pull up. Not a huge issue in and of itself, a baby learning to stand is going to practice as much as he/she can, but the the danger lies in that the velcro comes partially undone every time, bunching it up and making it a choking hazard. After about a week of this happening every time she went to bed, I finally took off the end panels all together.
Overall, it helps keep everything inside the crib where it should be, but it would work a lot better if I could actually use the whole thing. I wish someone would make the Crib Tent, which is one piece and goes under the mattress on all four sides, minus the tent part. :)

My 19mo kept sticking her arms out of the crib when she was sleeping and wasn't able to always figure out how to bring them in. This product did the trick! I used one side of net upside down so it would accommodate her crib toy better. It is true the short ends of net are a bit small but the sides fit great!

I notice while shopping for my first crib that the straight and flat edges on cribs are not really the style anymore. Well unless your crib is shaped like a box these bumpers won't work. It's 4 separate pieces!
The corners are completely exposed, and it was surprisingly difficult to get them on correctly (took us over 30 minutes because we had to adjust the mattress height and then put the longer pieces of the bumpers on upside down to make them long enough). So far I hate these bumpers and will more than likely return them. Save your money or buy a different item! What a waste.

Piece of mind is what you will get with this. If she did get stuck next to the rails she would still be okay. DISLIKES: there is no place for her mobiles or toys and the openings on the corners I worry that a lil body part will get stuck. Air flow is also great and being able to see from the sides.

So far I am not happy at all with this breathable bumper. The side peices are not long enough. I knew before I bought it that the corners would be exposed, I didnt think that was a big deal, but my baby sure does. She immediately went to the corners, sticking limbs out and messing with anything she could find. I do like the top part to keep her from teething on the crib, I just wish it was long enough to reach the last slats. According to the instructions and pictures it is supposed to wrap around the last slat on either end and it doesnt. I feel like this item was way overpriced for its quality.

For moms who are concerned with ultimate safety this product and all breathable baby product are the best ever. I particularly like this one and wish I would have got it when she was a newborn. Bumpers are unsafe and dont work and they use them to climb on and still get their limbs stuck in rails above the bumper. With this there are no worries and it keeps pacifiers and babies in the crib better.
