Antec USB Notebook Cooler for Notebooks

I have an extra thick battery on my PC for extended life. This means I need a cooling fan that covers the entire base. This fan does just that. It's doing a nice job of keeping my laptop cool. My only complaint is the blue light that shines when the unit is on. I keep my laptop on 24/7, and that light is annoying at night when I am trying to sleep. I'll put some black tape over it and that will solve my problem.

using it under my x360 to help keep it cool --it works wonders and it will not void any warrantys! read about in xbox magizine-highly recomended!!!!

It does the job on the low fan setting. On high, it is completely quiet, too. (I checked for the heck of it.)

This is a fine piece of equipment quite does great job of cooling would recommend with notebook computers.

when i first got this, i had a bit of a problem with it, one of the fans didn't work, so i tried to see if i could open it up to see if i could fix it, couldn't find a way to open it without breaking it, or so it seemed.
so i figured why not... i'll hit the thing, hit i once and the fan kicked on... must of been a loose wire, be working ever since.
On another note, the power cord that comes with it, apparently breaks easy, as i read in other rewiews, it would break just before the support just before the ends on each side, to help preventing this, i took regular clear tape, and wraped it around the trouble spot. just a few layers, nothing extreme, it's a cheap fix, but it should stop it from ever happening... better safe that sorry.

one other thing to keep in mind... it sucks air away from the top of the pad, out the sides, my laptop sucks cool air in from the bottom, so it's like thier are battling for air... so i move my laptop slightly of center to remedy this. it keeps the vent free, and the pad cools the middle of my laptop, doing this i rarely hear my fan kick on high even when playing a game that uses the most of my video card.

for the time it worked, it worked good, after 2 months the power/connecter cord would only work when you moved it to an exact spot, now about 3 months later any movement will mess it up and cause the cord to move out of the spot where it gets power,
this item is good as long as you don't get a defective one

It crashed my computer less than 24hrs after I installed the drivers. It disable all my USB ports on my laptop, so my wireless mouse would not work. My system would reboot itself, and I would get an error message saying that my system had recovered from a catastrophic failure. Once I removed the Antec notebook cooler, and uninstalled the driver I had no more problems. I returned the product, and got my money back. NEVER AGAIN!!

Great cooler but the 4 black, rubber corner inserts keep coming out. It would have been nice to have extras since with normal use of laptop/cooler causes some to pop out and they are very hard to find once their out!

I have this cooling pad for about 3 weeks now. It works good. Just wished the fans were little more powerfull. I like the X-shape, two speed settings, but what i like the most, is that the air inlets are on the side of the unit, not at the bottom. That way the buttom of the unit DON'T get hot, so you can keep it on your lap as long as u need it. In my opinion this is the best unit in the price range.
