Wenzel Sycamore 3 room Family Dome Tent

I ordered this tent online for a site-to-store pickup. First, the price was great. For a tent this size I would have expected to pay a lot more.

Second, it was very easy to setup. I had a 2 1/2 year old "helping" me and it still only took me 25 minutes. I should note that this is the first tent I have ever set up so if a first timer can put it up in 25 minutes with no help that means it is pretty easy. If you put it up by yourself I would suggest having something fairly long to prop up the center portion. Once you have assembled the frame on the ground you need to raise it and if you are by yourself you will need something to hold up the center while you go around and fasten the poles.

Third, it is very roomy. The dimensions are a bit misleading because it is not a square or dome tent but more of a pentagon. Because of this, the rooms get smaller toward the ends. But the middle section/room is still very roomy. It looks large enough for a queen size air mattress with room to spare. The two end sections/rooms are much smaller. An average size adult would find them snug. But overall the tent still feels very large especially if you don't put up the room dividers.

Overall quality seems good. I have only had it up once and did not actually sleep in it. I put it up for a test run. Everything fit like it should. Nothing broke or ripped. I plan on spraying the seams prior to its first use.

It has some small pockets inside to store stuff. It has a small mat in front of the front door/flap to wipe off your shoes. It has a small cargo net that goes overhead in the center section.

Overall I am very happy with this purchase so far. The only reason I didn't rate it higher is because I haven't truly used it yet.

This tent has plenty of room I thought we had a full size mattress and two twin size plus extra room for our luggage. But I have to say make sure you water proof your tent it did leak a little in the rain.

Bought the tent for camping with cub scouts and young family. Arrived mangled, and had to get 2 new parts, which were difficult to get. I sealed seams, sprayed, and replaced stakes. Held up fine in 10-15mph gusts, on wet ground (no falling rain). It was into the high 30's, but we were comfortable because of multiple layers of clothing, sleeping bag, and blankets. The floor plan was odd, and made it difficult for a queen airbed, full air bed and sleeping bag on pad. Probably a good value, but I think maybe a square tent next time, so I don't have to cut the ground cloth into a squashed pentagon shape!

Bought this tent, sounds large but has only a small space that you can stand in and thats where you first walk in, you can not fit a queen mat on either end, only in the center and then when you step in the door you step on your bed. not satisfied with this tent, took it back to walmart and exchanged it for the colman max cabin tent,,,, now thats a very nice tent....reneet6055

We LOVE this tent! It held up at the beach with 30 mph winds and 100 degrees with pucking kids in it! Mind you, we got super strong steaks to go with it. Anyone who knows how to camp knows you always have to buy "real" steaks. It also worked fabulous in the woods. We love this tent because it's tall enough to stand up in and dress, there is tons of room for our 3 kids and two parents plus all of our clothing and food (not in bear country) to hang out while we sleep or are gone. We sleep in seperate areas (not those stupid little room dividers either!) with mattresses There are two entrances so we don't have to worry about what direction to face it. We did have five kids and two adults in it, including a playpen and all our clothes and food at one point. We all fit comfortably. Our tent is a different color but same model. WE LOVE THIS TENT!

The pictures online are missleading. I put up the tent today and noticed that it has a V shape. It is not really big enough to set up two queen matresses, they either touch the wall or they touch in the center which makes it really hard to enter, since they touch right by the door. So safely said it's too small for me, my husband and 3 children, i was dissapointed.

we had enough room for our queen air mattress and a portacrib and another sleeping bag with lots of space to spare. it was awesome and for us it was money well spent!

beatifull tent ,but can not fit the air matress on the coners,they got to be sideways.someting the you dont want,take some of the center room.

I have been camping for 37 years. This was the worse tent I have EVER purchased. Poor quality, very bad instructions on how to set and most of all, once you set it, the way the tent was put together seems to be as if someone just attached this and that to make a tent. Thank God it did not rain. If it did, I know we would be in big trouble. The seems were very poorly attached. All and All, I would not recommend this tent to anyone for any price. I have had better luck with $70 dollar tents. I paid for this $119.00 plus tax which came to almost $130.00. Trying to put it in the bag that it came with was a nightmare.
