American Plastics American Plastic Toys Deluxe Work Bench
The American Plastic Toys Deluxe Play Work Bench is great to keep your little builder amused for hours together. Featuring two drawers and storage shelves with sliding cabinet drawers, this play bench provides plenty of room to keep your child's pretend tools in place. This work bench toy includes a wide range of tools, including a reversible drill with drilling bits, five connector brackets, a wrench and screwdriver, six bolts, six nuts, a ruler, and a cell phone. It also has a peg board and three hooks to help your child hang his tools. The drill requires two AA batteries for its operation. This kids' tool bench is perfect for children aged 3 and up.

Bought this for my son for his birthday and he loves it. The battery operated drill is his favorite tool out of the set. The set is sturdy and can hold a lot of tools. My son had some play tools already to add to this set which is very helpful because it does come with toys, but could use more. I think it would be good to have a supplemental set to add to this. Good buy, great value!

We bought this as a "Santa gift" for my son. We have not yet opened the box but are very excited to see how he likes it. He's really into helping and fixing things so we are hoping that its lots of fun for him. He's really into tools and being just like daddy so hopefully this will be it!

I just finished putting this together and although my son has yet to receive it, I know it will be a hit. Great for younger ones, as it has great storage compartments. Also, good accessories came with it. Difficult to put together (2 pieces on particular were a little warped but I worked to straighten them out and in the end it was fine) but well worth it in the end. As other reviews state, the vice doesn't work well but I knew that when I purchased it.

I ordered this product due to the love my toddler has for tools and the incredible cheap price. My husband said it was hard to put together it probably took him about 45 minutes to complete, however my son loves it, it comes with tools and screws and it's not to big and bulky its just the right size and its toddler friendly. I would recomend this product to anyone. The shipping was super fast I had it in about 2-3 after I placed the order on Walmart.com

Yes, the pieces are attached to mold and need to be twisted off (some required scissors) and the instruction sheet can be a bit confusing since it's not particularly clear (particularly with the cabinet top/bottom) but overall, it took less than an hour to assemble and my son enjoys it quite a bit. It may appear cheap and flimsy at first but once assembled, it's definately well worth the price if not more value for your money. My son will learn how to use wrenches, screwdrivers and the drill. Love that there are little cabinets and drawers for him to enjoy. The vice is pretty much for looks only as it doesn't do what it should (certainly won't really hold anything and it's a bit difficult to turn the handle..wratchety and cheap) but overall, it's going to be a great toy for him to use as he grows.

This was a present for my 2 year old grandson. He loved it and plays with it everyday. It is not made real strong but for a 2 year old it is just right. It has lots of storage for other tools and just the right size for him.

Cute little work bench, with a battery operated drill/screw driver. The entire bench is plastic, but I love the drawers for putting away all the parts. My 2 and 3 year old boys love it. It was a lot of parts to put together, but came out great.

I bought this for my 2 year old son for Christmas and he loved it. The drill really works and it goes forwards and backwards which I was surprised to see. The only bad part is that it came packaged in the molds. We had to cut and twist each piece out of the molds and then put it together. It took about an hour. My son and daughter play on it and it's held up very well. I'd recommend it!

Got the work bench for our grandson and he was so excited. HAD to open it and put it together while the rest of the party was going on. Was not difficult. Loves the drill and spent the last 3 days of Christmas break putting stuff together and taking it back apart. Just a side note, he is kind of tough on stuff, but this seems more then up to the task of taking his play.

I purchased this for 18 month old son for Christmas. He absolutely loves it!! The workbench comes with a few tools, screws, and a telephone. What I love the most is that it has drawers and a compartment to put all the extra parts in. When he is done playing we just stick the extra pieces into the compartment and the room is cleaned up.

This is the third American Plastics toy my two year daughter has received. We love them all and have a kitchen ready and waiting for Christmas! You can't beat the price. They aren't meant to last years and years like other bigger brands but thats why they cost so much less. If you have lots of kids, by all means, buy a bigger brand, but if you have one like we do, you can't go wrong with these.
The tool set seems to be the second easiest to assemble (shopping cart is the easiest). It took me 45 minutes one afternoon. My husband was at work or it probably would have took him less time. I used nail clippers to clip off sharp edges and had to file away a few, especially on the gears and Phillips bit. I had a little bit of trouble getting the screws to go in straight, but my husband would tell you, I can't use a screwdriver. This one is nice and sturdy, its thicker plastic than, say, the nursery but that means, to me, that it can stand up to some rough play. I love the drawers and the sliding doors, not to mention the peg board like Mom and Dad have in the garage. My daughter LOVES it. Anytime my husband and I get out a tool (we're restoring a house, so that happens on an everyday basis) she runs right into her room and gets out the same tool and comes and 'helps.' I think it will last her until she grows out of it.
The only down side I can see is that it may not be comparable with other play tool sets, but then again, it may be, we just got it and haven't expanded our toy tool collection yet.

Overall we were very pleased with the work bench. It looks very realistic and has lots of storage. The drill really does work and I know it will keep our grandson busy for hours.... The price seems to be a good value for what you get especially with all of the accessories.
The only thing that could have been better would be the instructions.
