my sons flip was on this tripod on the kitchen table it fell over in the middle of a youtube video and the lens shatterd . so i dont reccomend this proudct for any tipe of camera mostley flips

for some reason I thought this was goung to be bigger, it is only 5' it will tilt if the weight is not balanced! It is still a great tripud, you can change the colors on the bottom on the legs.

This thing is great!. It simply attaches as the bottom. You can adjust the legs for any angle. My students use it for their videos. I have one for my kids. It is hard to video when you are home alone with the babies. Got one for my mother-in-law, too. She had no problem setting it up.

The tripod is ok. Can be unstable. Its not really the tripods fault but the mounting point for it should be centered under the camera. It is way on the side and makes it pretty unstable. I do like that the legs flex in all directions. It is a lot smaller then I expected. Overall it is decent. Probably better then trying to set the camera up by itself.

I tried to flip an event, hand-holding the camera in the sure belief that I could perform the task without any effort. Boy was I wrong! This product will allow me to flip future events with the full expectation that I will be able to recognize the participants after the events -- they won't be forgotten due to my fatigue and hand failure.

I'm certain that Wal-Mart has the best price on this particular product but the exact same thing can be had without the FLIP brand name on it for significantly cheaper elsewhere. Aside from that, it is functionally pretty good. I've had the cheap version for years and used it with a digital still camera.

When I bought my FLIP camcorder, I was lucky enough to get an option of my choice free. I chose the tripod and I am so glad I did. This afternoon I used it. Set it on the table out by the pool and got 30 minutes of my only daughter and my only granddaughter (2 yrs old on 7/12)...in the pool at my house. Such precious memories we all have now thanks to FLIP and the optional tripod. Please buy it, you will love it.

I use this almost constantly with my Flip ultra hd. It makes footage so steady in between the times when I just hold the camera, like when I get tired; and it's flexible, so it's easy to get it trained on the person or event you are filming & then just leave it there. It is so lightweight you can actually just pick it up with the camera still on it to walk around with. This is the first accessory I'd get with a Flip; the usb cables would be next, since they will also extend the life of the camera by avoiding weight on the usb extension part when charging it or downloading.

Awsome little tripod. The little legs are very sturdy even when flexed and they even held my bigger JVC Everio camcorder very well. Fits right in my pocket also.
