Upgrade the entertainment in your home with HDTV technology and Sony quality. Note: You must have a source of HD programming in order to take full advantage of an HDTV. Otherwise, the picture quality of an HDTV without an HD source may not be much better than that of a standard-definition TV. I have been looking for a starter HDTV for a couple of months and I setlled on this Sony after checking a lot of other Tvs. I have had it for a week and couldn't be happier. Great HD picture, very good analog picture. As a cable TV installer/repairman, I have seen lots of different brands of tvs. Most all do HD very well. Not all do analog or standard definition well. That's why I took my time finding the correct one for me. This Sony is really good in both areas. I paid a little more than the best price I could have gotten on a 37" HDTV but I am glad I did. Sony's reputation for quality is well deserved. Buy a Sony Bravia with complete cofidense.

I purchased this TV for my husband for Christmas! He was completely surprised and loved it! At first, we thought it might be too big for the bedroom, but once it was on the wall, it was perfect! The picture quality is superb. Nothing but the best from Sony. The cost was lower when compared to other stores and item was shipped site to store. I would recommend this television to anyone wanting to upgrade to LCD/flat TV.

If you are looking for a medium sized HDTV made by a good well-known company (Sony), and you want most of the basic features with some extras, then this is the TV for you. Picture quality is excellent considering it is only a 720p. When viewing HD programs from the many new digital stations received off my antenna I was very pleased with the picture quality. It also is very acceptable when viewing stations from my old (non-HD) Direct TV receiver. With the quality of the picture I am receiving off my antenna, I will definitely be dropping my local channels from my Direct TV subscription. Of course the old non-digital TV stations I picked up off my antenna had a very poor picture. This was expected, as it would be with any make high definition LCD TV. A very nice feature I found that I didn't expect and isn't on my other HDTV's is it has an "Add channels" feature. This lets you scan for new stations without losing the previously stored channels. By doing this you can make antenna adjustments to pick up and store more stations form different areas. The sound quality is acceptable but I have heard TV’s that sound better. Wish it had surround sound, but when connected to my stereo system it sounds better. It has connections for output to Dolby; I just need to upgrade my stereo system. Speaking about connections, there are plenty of them for all your different equipment, even your PC. I had to purchase some cables, one HD15 w/Audio to hook up my PC, and one HDMI cable to hook up my DVR recorder using the HDMI input. If you don’t have equipment using the new HDMI connections, there is an “S” video input and many standard component inputs to use. Overall I would recommend this TV; after all it is a “SONY BRAVIA”.
