Brother Sewing and Embroidery Machine SE350 with Bonus Embroidery Card

This is a wonderful machine. Great for beginners! Very easy to operate. Would recommend it to everybody!

You can view it at: http://oceanpeg.blogspot.com/ which tells you that for a person who has been sewing over 50 years is very pleased with this purchase and hasn't had any problems with using the machine. Still have to use some of the features such as the embroidering, the quilting, the smocking, making button holes and sewing on the buttons with it. Plan on getting the attachment for downloading embroidery designs from the internet and the gaget for embroidering on baseball caps to expand the capabilities of this fantastic sewing/embroidery machine. Also joined the Brother Sewing Club for this machine where they add more embroidery designs monthly for same at http://www.brother.com Along with making clothes and the like, I expect to be using it for lots and lots of crafting. Expect to get many, many years of all kinds of sewing on and with this combo machine. Just one feature I miss on this machine, which is having a place to screw in a seam guide, which I'm used to using for perfect seams in clothing and the like. Other than that, this is more or less a dreamboat of a machine. Be sure to read the instruction manual and watch the DVD when getting your machine, and, following the simple instructions to the T, and, you, too, shouldn't have any problems with the machines operations at all.

I purchased this sewing machine back in October. I have had a blast with it! I just recently started sewing again and I wanted to create my own personalized items. This machine is great!!! I found websites that allow you to download designs FREE. It was one of the best investments to date. I have 2 friends now who are planning on buying it since I let them use it... Defiantly worth buying!

I love the embroidery part to this machine, but I am not impressed with the sewing machine. I was going to sell my old machine, but decided to keep it because this one does not sew as well. It's not as easy to use as I thought. I do love the computerized embroidery. I'm still learning to use it, but I've really enjoyed this machine.

as about typical of my experience with this machine my first attempt to upload pics made my entire explanation of my hassles with walmart and getting this machine was erased- I THINK! rather than drag through it all again- just know that IT IS WORTH THE HASSLE!!! i am very happy with product and think those with some of the bobbin issues may have had similar problem that i had- i returned my first machine and came home with intent to find alternate machine to buy- but accidentally stumbled onto link on brother website THAT GAVE VERY DETAILED BUT EXACT OPPOSITE DIRECTIONS FOR LOADING THE BOBBIN THAT THE MANUEL GAVE!!! the cd never would work for me in any of my dvd players or my laptop- its brand new MAC- maybe thats why??? brother stuff is all labeled as formatted for pc- not sure it should matter but, thats just an FYI!!! so, bottom line is second machine was monogramming in minutes- without me even rereading manuel but loading bobbin according to brother website- for the money it has the best reviews and I SEARCHED AND READ ALOT OF REVIEWS!!! even more expensive machines reviews were not as good- nor as many for the overall feedback-this machine has 120+ reviews between walmart and amazon!!! im VERY HAPPY& it was worth the hassle... :) &it has about 11 sets of alphabet- EVEN BETTER THAN I EXPECTED!!! the option to monogram is why i bought this machine and i sew baby items and gifts such as koozies and jewelry bags- it suits my purposes!!!

I decided that I wanted to learn to sew and just before Christmas, I bought a Singer Simple. IT WAS HORRIBLE!!! Back in the day that was the name brand to buy. WELL NOT ANYMORE! (SEE SINGER REVIEW) I kept the machine that thinks it can but cant, and I purchased a Brother. I drove 45 min to another walmart to purchase the CS5000 but my husband talked me into this machine. OH MAN DO I REGRET THE FIRST PURCHASE. Embrodiery asside the manual is detailed encough to make any begininer be able to use the most complicated parts of the mahine! The motor IS SO VERY QUIET! Its so quiet I can hear my bobbin turn! It has a wide variety of accessories! I thought it was Christmas what I opened the box! 7 feet manual both on CD and paperback! The machine is smooth and accurate. LOVE THIS MACHINE! my new projects make me look like a seasoned stitcher instead of the skipped stitches on the Singer. The threading is easy and after a couple of tries on the embrodiery portion and you will have it down pat. This is a wonderful machine for the beginner! However if you want MORE you will need to shell out more money. If you price embrodiery/sewing machines they are pricey. This is the perfect machine IF:

The cards are expensive and there are limitations to this machine. But for home use. . . ITS WONDERFUL. I did alot of reseach before my purchase and when I did buy it the associate in the sewing section (who had everything embroidered!) went on and on about how she could not live without hers! The only downside is that my local walmart doesnt have ANY ACCESSORIES so I have to buy them online.
OverALL: If you want to embroider but have a limited budget you wont regret this purchase. If you are looking for your own embroidery business then go to the brother site with alot of cash in hand.

I just received my machine today and I am delighted with it. I still have a lot of reading to do, but I have gone through the DVD which is really informative and I have tried many stitches, the buttonholes and the embroidery feature. Everything works extremely well. I have to practice more on the automatic needle threader but I will master that soon I know. This is the best machine I have ever had. I have been sewing since I was in junior high school and this machine would have been a real asset back then. I monogrammed 3 towels and washcloths and they look great. I recommend this machine highly.

it's marveless i simply love it

I had been looking for a dual sewing and embroidery machine for sometime and recently had purchased the singer FUTURA CE-150 for double the price of this machine and had to return the FUTURA due to its complicated and technical design. The BROTHER SE350 is a wonderful product, easy to use from threading the machine, navigating the touch screen to using the embroidery attachment. If you are looking for a dual machine that will sew and embroider this is a great value for your money. You do not have to be a professional crafter to appreciate the ease and convenience of this machine. This would be a great gift for someone just getting started in the crafting/sewing field – you will get two machines in one for a very reasonable price.
