Safe appears to be well made and is heavy. Brought this as a gift for my wife at Christmas 2008.
Could not use the electronic lock (would not function) had to open with the enclosed emergency key to open. After replacing the batteries and still unable to open with the electronic keyboard, we contacted Honeywell, and after a couple of quick tests the Honeywell Technician advised we had two options, return it or Honeywell could send a new circuit board to be installed by myself, I opted to return it. Of course there were no other safes of the same model in stock so I am waiting for another Model to come along and will give Honeywell one more chance. The safe may have been a good product if it worked but that was not the case.

Decent safe for the money. The hinges are not not recessed or hidden. The safe is light enough to be carried away. Yet, for some foire resistance and piece of mind, it does the trick at a low price.

Some will like that you need the key AND the code to open. I don't like that feature.

I would avoid the combination dial type and go with the digital pad at this price.

We would highly recommend this product with the exception that there are not bolts. We were hoping to be able to secure this to the floor or someplace and in reading the description, thought we could. Otherwise, so far so good!
