The gel pads are exceptional, but takes some getting use to to find the perfect areas to make the best contact. Contact should never be painful. Must be removed and adjusted at times, especially when they get some wear on them. I would recommend using a water based product such as hand sanitizer or ky jelly to extend the life of the pads. It seems to help the electrodes make better contact with the skin. I use hand sanitizer on mine before use, as well as before I replace the plastic covers back over the pads for storage protection until the next session. My pads usualy last about a month with daily use. The smaller pads wear out much quicker than the larger center pad.

The jell pads do not last long enough. They become too sticky after a couple of weeks, and soon after they will need to be replaced which will cost more than $10.00 each time..

It's the only place where I can get these for cheap and avoid shipping charges by doing Site-to-Store. I went down from an 8 to 3 when I first purchased the belt from HSN. And have already lost 3 inchces. Through Wal-Mart the price I would normally pay for shipping I get gel pads.

This product works well and I would recommend but there are a couple of downsides. Firstly I dont understand how or why if you buy 2 of this product they cant put it in the same box (small product) and deliver together saving the customer on shipping costs. If I could I would but three or four and save on the $3 a time shipping costs.
Secondly, it doesnt quite last long enough (20 or so uses) so to continue to use you will need to get around a new one every month.
On the up side the product works and my abs are looking firmer than ever!

The Slendertone will not operate correctly without the replacement pads. I found that if I ordered the individual ones, they were a lot cheaper than the package of three. I guess they were on sale at the time I ordered them, which made them only about $10 each. Not a bad price at all! I changed them after about 1 1/2 months. Take care of them and they will last longer!

Getting replacement gel pads are essential to using the belt, but the first pack of gel pads I opened to replace the pads that came with the belt got stuck to the lining and pulled off some of the gel. The missing gel created discomfort and I needed to quickly throw them away and open another new pack. There needs to be more quality assurance, as these things are not exactly cheap to replace.

What I did like about these gel pads is that the plastic covers on them extended ( was bigger than the pads ) out over the pads. When I bought my slendertone belt, the covers that came with them seemed a bit smaller than the pads. ( the covers has to be put back on the pads after each use.) I also like that the pads are extra sticky.
What I don't like. It was very hard to get the plastic covers off the pads--a little too sticky. When I took the plastic covers off the pads a chunk of gel came off one of them and some gel came off all of them.
My belt is now detecting this as a worn pad. This is the first time any gel has ever come off any of the pads. However the price any other place was a lot more.
