We have been through several gates for our staircase. None of them lasted long with our large and active family. This one seems the sturdiest by far. I like the solid design. The spring loaded gate solves the problem of one of the kids forgetting to close the gate when they go through. The gate is easily opened with one hand. The only thing I would change is the bolts that anchor the gate. I think a sturdier bolt and/or a threaded bolt would be better. Other than that we really enjoy the gate.

I love this gate. It is beautiful, sturdy, easy access, everything I was looking for. I have put it on my front porch (which is white) to keep my pit bull from getting off. She sits out there a lot and cannot jump over it. The other gates we tried if she put her weight on it, they would topple over. I also have a 1 year old granddaughter and this gate is wonderful. My neighbors have been asking where I got it from, because it looks so good. I would definitely buy this gate again. Well made, not too hard to put up, easy to use. I hope you all buy it.

Very nice in a modern home. Nice to have it tall, as both my husband and I are tall people and find it easier to open. Firm steel construction. The latch is a bit tricky/sticky in these first few days, but helps to keep the kids in better that way. Gate swings shut on own, but doesn't latch on own unless you give it a shove when closing, but we didn't find this to be a problem.

I did a ton of research online for a reliable baby gate that is walk through and is durable for the top of the stairs.
After searching quite a bit, I came across this baby gate on a different website. I always try to remember to shop around for the lowest price for the product I want, and that's when I found it here at Walmart. The price for this gate can't be beat. Other sites/stores retail it for $20+ more.
The gate is absolutely perfect. My daughter, to date, is 9 mos. old and is in the 95th percentile for her height. The height on this gate is just what I needed to keep her coralled.
This is a must buy for anyone looking for style, durablitiy, and height.

We bought theses gates to keep our dogs from entering our living room that has new refinished hardwood floors. They do the job. I only wish the gates would swing open both ways. These open only one way. I like that it came with the option to pressure mount or to screw in the wall. It also looks way better than most baby/dogs gates with the decorative top.

This gate is unlike others that are supposed to be for extra wide openings. It isn't that our opening is extra wide, it's just that it is about an inch and a half bigger than the standard door gates. Other extra wide gates come with different size extenders. The extender with this gate is adjustable, so it will fit any opening as long as it's within it's measurements. I thought that I was going to have to have somebody put it up for me, but I did it within minutes. About 10 to be exact. It was easy, directions were easy to comprehend, I'm going to get another one for our hallway. My 15 month old stands against it while I'm in the kitchen, and it's very sturdy and durable. I love the opening. It's a fancy gate for a good price.

This is an excellent product. It's sturdy, much more stylish than other gates, very easy to set up, and doesn't leave any marks on the wall. It's actually in dark brown color, so it looks great in either modern or traditional home in my opinion. I highly recommend it.

We bought this gate to keep our dogs in a confined area and love it! Relatively easy to set up. The gate automatically springs back to close, which we didn't want to always happen. Solved problem by looping a bungee cord around the gate door to prop open during those times. It's nice looking too. Would definitely recommend.

I'm using this gate to keep my 4 large dogs out of my kitchen and living room. It's tall enough that they can't jump over it, but not so tall that it looks like it belongs in a jail. Easy to open with one hand. Springs closed every time, but it took a while to get the adjustments just right. You can use it with or without the hardware to mount it to the side walls (you have to use the hardware on top of stairs for safety reasons.) I'm using it without the hardware and the dogs haven't knocked it over yet. Very easy to set up and comes with three additional panels to use on large openings. I highly recommend this gate. (I just wish that it cost less.)

I think this gate is good. It didn't come in black like I requested, but I needed it up asap and couldn't wait to exchange. It does sort of bow out a little instead of staying straight, but it is stable. The only thing I don't like is the design on the bottom, my little guy likes to stick his chubby legs through the holes and can twist and get them stuck. I like that he can't get his fingers pinched when holding onto it and someone is opening it.
