I purchased this radio as a second XM radio on the family plan, with my main radio docked at home all of the time. Unlike my XM2Go Pioneer that has a complicated set of controls, for driving - this has just the basics thank you very much! 10 presets may not seem like much, but you can scan by genre for easier selection outside of the presets.
There is a downside of this model that I can't pass over. If you use the FM SureConnect system, you'll likely have static issues due to stronger broadcast FM channels - and at best only mediocre sound quality. The cassette tape or direct connect methods are by far the way to go when possible.
Pros - simple controls allow operation with your eyes on the road where they belong! Universal type mount allows for optional mount options.
Cons - poor FM radio performance, especially when compared to what this unit can do with a direct connection. No remote available for those who can't mount it in a handy location.
