There are mixed reviews about this gate. I got it knowing I could take it back if it didnt work. I will be buying more!!! We have a tri-level so we needed stairway gates with an extension, which normally is a lot of money. These gates come with the extension and are cheaper than any other. I like that the gate doesn't automatically close behind you so at night once the kiddo is asleep I can leave all the gates open except the one nearest his room. Very easy to install--some reviews say it won't close right if its too tight and that's right. I have a 9 month old who shakes the gate and its stron enough to wothstand him shaking it and still able to open it.

It would be better if this product came with a better mounting solution other than screws, because no one wants to damage their wooden stairs banisters to mount the top portion of the gate. We paid lots of money for the banisters and don't want to ruin them with a $.02 screw. Love the adjustable mounts, but the screws must go!

I am using this gate as a tension gate, meaning it isn't screwed into the wall. It needs CONSTANT adjustment. Most of the time we can't close it because it needs adjusted. It may work better in a permanent position (attached to the wall) but I doubt it!

I was so tired of using the wooden expansion gates. I use them for my dogs, to keep in a certain area of the house. These well made metal gates are just the best, you walk through and don't have

This product was by far the cheapest I found, but the quality follows suit. It was not very sturdy. As I have a child that likes to pull up and jerk around on the baby gates, we did not feel comfortable with this brand. We will be returning to get something else. The "Summer" brand has worked very well for us in the past, but they did not make wide enough for this opening.

Bought these for my two smallish/medium-sized dogs. The gates works excellent!! Keeps the dogs where I want them especially when the dogs jump on them. I keep the gates as pressure-mounted since we live in a rental. The walkway of the gate is a little narrow if you have wide hips so you might have to turn sideways to walk through them. Other than that, I love them.

I purchased the gate to restrict the access of our new puppy while she was young -- thus I selected a gate with a "pressure-mounted" feature. The gate was easy to install, adjusting to the wide opening between the kitchen and the living room/dining room areas. The "door" of the gate was easy to open and close (latch) one-handedly. However, I needed to remove the gate to move some furniture through the opening it was blocking and when I re-installed the gate the "door" doesn't latch as easily as it first did -- you need both hands to perform this process. I need to take the gate down and re-install it (maybe it isn't lined-up properly) to see if I can return the latching process back to how it was when I first installed it. If I wasn't experiencing this current "latching challenge," I would have given this product five stars and five bars on "meets expectations."

I purchased the gate for my small dog. Constructing the gate was a little complicated and the additional pieces where tuff to put together, overall an average gate. My dog was able to squeeze through the bars so the gate was not useful for my needs. The bars have a wave pattern to them so for small dogs I wouldn't recommend this gate because they can escape easily.

We have an almost 4 year old and an 8 month old. This gate was ready to install and is super easy to use. It wobbles a little at the top but so does every gate that has a door I've found. I like this one because it screws into the wall so I know its not going anywhere. We bought three of them and two kits to attach them to our bannisters. They are awesome. Great product!

Easy to use just push button back with your thumb and lift. We actually taped the button back so all we have to do is lift the door... Our purpose was to keep our dogs out of our kids(3 and 5) rooms but needed it to be easy enough the kids could get in and out by theirselves

It's a good deal. It keeps my son out of the rooms I don't need him in. But also let's me pass without having to step over or take the whole gate down. My three year old can open and close the gate just as we'll if not better then I can. Only thing I wish was it was a but taller cause I do have to bend down a bit to unlock it.
