I have also purchased a 2 AA model as well as a 3 D maglight. The 2 C model doesn't seem to focus like the other two, seems a little flimsy. The main reason for purchasing the C is because in an emergency situation which batteries are generally left on the shelf? Not Ds, not AAs but Cs. For the price, it's more peace of mind having it.

Still study and bright. Can still make light focused for working on something or wide to see around you and any inbetween. This is the second one I had to buy because of battery leakage on old one or I would not need a new one.

This is a great emergency flashlight, very sturdy and durable. And it gets even better if you have C batteries (mostly from kids' toys) left at home. The price was one of the lowest, too.
