I have owned this treadmill for two weeks now. It has great preprogramed exercises. I've only used three of them. I had a good workout with all three. I didn't know much about treadmills when I started shopping for one. I read online reviews about every treadmill I was interested in. I just didn't read the reviews provided by the carrier of the treadmill I also googled more information in order to make the right choice for me. After a lot of what I considered to be good research I decided that the Gold's Gym Maxx Crosswalk 650 Treadmill was the best choice for me and it was within my price range. I can't tell you if it was difficult to assemble because I purchased it site to store and Walmart did the assembly for me. I just picked it up, brought it home, and started using it. You can't go wrong with this machine. I like it and I know you will too.

I was totally impressed by all the features on the Gold's Gym Maxx treadmill. There were more features than I had expected. It's well-built, no flimsy construction here. I feel like Ii'm at the gym and there is a personal trainer, who talks to me and leads me through different routines. I couldn't be happier with my selection of the Gold's Gym Maxx. It folds up for easy storage, has a fan and 10 different incline levels. yahoo !

The machine is awesome! I am so impressed. It was very heavy and difficult for 2 grown men to get in the house and took three people working a couple of hours to get it assembled. I can see where some would get discouraged with all that!! And I will not be able to move it on my own. I will have to have my husband or someone else move it. It is still in the room where we assembled it. Too wide to go thru the door to the room where I wanted it but we will deal with that later. But it has been well worth it! I really love all the amenities and still have not gotten around to trying all of them out. Now it's all up to me to use it regularly and get my moneys worth out of it.

Had a Proform i-445 before. Was happy with this but belt started to default. Was looking at other proform but reviewed consumer report and they recommended this model. Found at local store clearanced for 350.00 could not pass up. So happy with this purchase. Excellent product. Many extras. I find it compariable if not better then my Proform. Would recommend to anyone. I was going to purchase at on line price so very much worth what asking.

Had the Unit in the basement with limited fuss. Wife and Son gave me a hand wrestling it to the basement. Being 200 lbs it is a bit heavy.
The delivery folks only deliver to the door and just inside that. If you need to go up or down stairs ensure you have a good method to get the rather large box to your setup location.
Once there, the instructions are simple and straight forward. Only a few tools necessary to get it put together.
Works well, since setup.
Good Exercise Routines.
I am happy with it. My family is putting it to good use with all the cold weather we are having right now.

I basically agree with the previous review by AZNative. Everything about this treadmill, in my opinion, is of excellent quality. Except the drive belt. Not the belt that you walk on -- the drive belt. I'm 2x years old, and also use this treadmill nightly. Of all the treadmills I have used in the past, until tonight this is the only one I have had no complaints about (and yes, if you are over 6' tall, the fan works out nicely). Now, after only a half year in service, the drive belt has given out. I weight ~200lbs, exercise ~100min every night at a speed of ~4.2mph while lifting 2x10lb weights. IM NOT TRYING TO IMPRESS ANYBODY. I'm just giving you information on how I use it so you can decide whether the failure was due to something on my part or not. The manufacturer weight limit for the 650 Maxx is stated as 275lbs, so I am well within that catagory. Also, with my particular treadmill, the belt (now I mean the one that you walk on) was originally centered, and then, after very little usage, started to move off to the right. I did not think much of it, most belts end up not being perfectly centered. As long as it was not in a position to damage itself, I decided to leave it alone. It MAY be that it was a little loose (the tightening screw is on the right side) which MIGHT have slightly decreased the tension on the drive belt thereby causing more wear than usual. Maybe. That is a pretty extreme possibility in my mind. It is much more probable that it is just a cheap belt. All I can say is, I have never had a treadmill with drive belt issues that had less than 100hrs run time on it (only in the past few months have I really started to use it). Everything else on it is still in great shape. Apparenly the real manufacturer is ICON Service (makers of famous Weider and NordicTrack products). I'm looking into a new belt now. Hopefully this next one will last longer. I'll buy two just in case.

I owned this treadmill up until 9/21/09 and at that time my home was flooded. I must say that this was the best piece of equipment that I've ever had period! I called this one of my best friends! This was assembled by my husband and myself with no problems and have been using it daily. It's been 3 months without it and now after the rebuilding I'm ready to purchase another one. I have the option to buy the most expensive one's but this is still by far the best one for the quality and price. I've checked reviews on all others and from my experience this is the best. I've really missed this and will be ordering it soon. I would recommend this one here to anyone. Skip the high price treadmills, this one will work perfectly for walking and jogging. Highly, highly recommended and no, I'm not an employee for this company. Just speaking from experience. Great treadmill!

A Great All-Around Home Treadmill,

I’ve had this treadmill for almost 2 months and I walk/run about 4 miles on it every day. I love it. While it’s not quite as quiet as I’d like, it’s not bad. It’s an exceptional home treadmill. The incline and speed shift very smoothly and the arm poles come in really handy – I’m glad I got a treadmill with that feature, I use the poles off and on while walking and can really feel the difference. The only drawbacks I’ve noticed so far are that first of all, while the fan is a real plus, it would be nice if there was a way to adjust it: it hits too high up. If I were over 6’ tall (I’m not, I’m more like 5’6”) and ran as far forward as possible I would probably get some air. As it is it goes way over my head, so I just turn my ceiling fan on full blast instead. I like that the cup holders are nice and deep, I can keep my water bottle in one and my cell phone and tv remote in the other without fear of anything falling out. The display is nice and bright (actually, a way to dim that down a bit might be nice) and easy to understand. Overall, the treadmill is easy to figure out the first time you use it. I do wish Walmart would offer ship-to-store with this treadmill like they do many others. The shipping weight (199 lbs.) is the same as some of the ship-to-store treadmills, so I don’t understand why they don’t offer that option. It was a pain to have to pay the extra shipping to have it delivered to my house but in the end I’m glad I made the extra investment. I don’t think I’d have been happy with a lesser model, especially since I intend to use it daily. I’m an average sized, middle-aged woman who is not very mechanically inclined, yet I assembled the treadmill myself in a little less than 2 hours – except for the very last step where you have to flip the treadmill over to tighten the bolts. No way was I going to get this baby to “flip over” on my own. I called my son, he came to the rescue and I was off and running in no time. I’ve been in the market for a treadmill for a very long time and I have to say I’m very happy with this purchase. I would recommend the Gold’s Gym 650 to anyone who wants a quality home treadmill. Oh, one last thing, assemble it where you’re going to use it – while it’s got wheels, you won’t be scooting it all around your house. It does fold up easily though, so you can get it out of the way while still keeping it handy.

When we were in the market for a treadmill, don't ask me why but we didn't start our window shopping at Walmart. We went to EVERY exercise and fitness store within a 30 mile radius to try and find the best deal. Lo-and-behold, .5 miles away was this puppy just waiting for us. We couldn't believe the price, for the features that came with it (especially the powerful motor) no one else could touch it! Hands down this has been the best investment into our health that we have made.
The assembly process was more involved than expected, it required two very able people to carry the bulk of the machine into the home from the car (it comes in a rather large and akward box, be sure to have a big...BIG trunk). After assembly it folds up and rolls nicely on the built in wheels.
My wife uses the machine everyday for 2 hours M - F. I use the machine on the weekends for 2 hours total. Combined, this thing is operating every day of the week. It is one solid trooper!
Don't be fooled, this is not as high of caliber as your local membership-only gyms. However, for a home gym, this is a fine peice of machinery. It is quiet, compact if need be, and budget friendly. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone that wants to add a treadmill to their home fitness collection.

I got this treadmill knowing that is would be too heavy to carry, so my son and I unloaded it from the truck to bring it in. Still, the treadmill and frame without the attachments is very heavy, since I'm a small woman. It was pretty simple to put together, only taking me a little over an hour. I have only been using it for 2 days, but prefer to use the manual settings, for now. I really like the incline settings, which give me a little more challenge without having to set my speed setting higher. Its so easy and uncomplicated to change your settings with just a touch on the panel. I plugged my ipod into it and the speaker on the treadmill sounds great. It does take up quite a bit of room, but I prefer to leave it down when not in use, rather than fold it up. So far I haven't had any problems with this treadmill, but time will tell. I did, though, buy the extented warranty, just in case.

For the price, this was a wonderful product. The only drawback for me is the the presets go faster than I can keep up with, but I can manually slow that down, I just need to stay alert for the speed changes. The wider track and the higher weight limits (for my husband) are great. I also like that it's very heavy and sturdy; althought moving it is a bit of an event. The fold up feature was a must and this one has it. Great for freeing up the space when not in use.

Do Not Buy A Gold's Gym Treadmill !!!
I purchased a Crosswalk 650 from Wal-Mart in 2008. Within about 7 months it was inoperable (belt was apparently skipping). They sent a tech out who basically told me he didn't know how to fix it. The warranty people at Icon Fitness (the company you contact for these issues), after I called several times trying to solve the problem, told me there was nothing more they could do because there was no other technician in the area to fix it.
I found a technician myself who had worked for Icon before, and they came out twice and finally got it running again. It was about a three months from the time it broke to the time it was fixed.
It ran about 4 months after that and now I am without a treadmill again. The same thing is happening and the extended warranty people said that Icon couldn't find any of the notes from the first time it broke. So, we are starting over again with this talking to warranty reps, sending of parts, and trying to find time to be at home for the tech.
I strongly recommend that buyers not purchase anything serviced by Icon fitness, Gold's Gym products included. I am out a lot of money and I have a useless piece of very heavy equipment in my home.

This product was non working. The display comes on, but the belt does not move.
After calling customer service it was determined that the controller board was bad. In order to fix the product I would have to purchase a new board and pay for shipping. However, on the box and in the manual it states for 1 year the product is covered for parts and labor. When I told this to the customer service representative she stated the only way to override the fees is to purchase an extended warranty. This is rediculous and this treadmill is going back to Walmart...
Also, this product is promoted and warrantied through Icon Health and Fitness. On the Better Business Bureaus' website this company's rating is an 'F', with a huge number of various complaints received.
I hope this helps and if anyone does purchase this treadmill I wish them better luck than I had...

I am not a handy person and I was able to put it together relatively easily by myself.(although it would have been easier with and the instructions recommend another set of hands.) It gives a great workout for me, my wife and our teen age kids. I would definitely recommend it.

I had been looking for a replacement for my old treadmill when I found this one. I love this treadmill! It has all the bells and whisltes that I need, and more than most at this price. Being able to work your upper body while working your lower body just seemed smart to me. I love the fact that it auto inclines. No more getting off the machine in the middle of a workout. The programmed personal trainer is not annoying, and some of the exercises even take place off of the treadmill. I was suprised by that. It has a fan with two speed and a hookup for audio devices. If you are not able to lift heavy objects you will want to get someone to help get it in your home. The box is not only heavy, but big. My dad and I got it into my house with the help of a dolly and put it on a blanket to slide it across the hardwood floor. It only took about an hour for us to set up, but we have experience at putting things together. The directions however, are not the best I have ever seen.

You won't find a treadmill of this quality anywhere for this price. This is large and looks and feels like a treadmill you see in a gym or hotel. Very easy set up, but you will need some space and help moving the box.
