This product is geared for children who are able to read, understand the value of money, and are aware of chores, school, fashion, arcades, and enjoy plug in games.
I would highly recommend it for ages 10-15.
My nieces ages 7 and 12 enjoy it on different levels. never doubt what they understand children are more advanced in schooling and reality these days. this is the second one i bought for a gift.

I purchased this item for my granddaughter for X-mas. I received it in plenty of time before X-mas. TV hook-up was easy. It took about an hour for my granddaugter to figure out how to maneuver the game with help from her uncle. Once she got the hang of it, she enjoys playing it. It does teach her how to make money (chores) and save for what she wants to purchase (real life skills). It is also fun. It was worth the money. I enjoy watching her play the game.

I bought this for my 10 year old daughter for Christmas, as this was the "main thing" she wanted over anything else. She plays with it daily and for hours at a time. It allows her to experience what it's like to live another life and how to save money and make choices and see their effects. Make sure you start with FRESH batteries ( it takes both "AA" and "AAA" batteries) as the unit does not seem to work properly if the batteries are not new or mixed( fresh and older ones.) I would definitely recommend this product for any parent who'd like to give a gift that helps their child learn from life experiences. A great learning tool.
