I bought it March 29, 2011. This is a well made product and worked well until December. Then the controller went phooy and it no longer heats. It is now January & now I am stuck with a very nice mattress pad that doesn't heat.

This heated mattress pad is everything I wanted--you can preheat it so you don't get into bed on cold sheets and it keeps me warm all night so I can turn down the heat. My cats like it, too.

Review 7 for Sunbeam Heated Waterproof Mattress Pad
Overall, very pleased

I purchased this pad for my mother's hospital bed. It fits wonderfully and stays in place. The adjustable heat dial works well for her and it doesn't fall or shift from the position in which we placed it, making it easy for her to use it when necessary. I didn't wash it before using, as I would have normally, because I was uncomfortable with the instructions. We aired it out in the hot desert sun & wind before putting it on the bed. It's been on for a couple of weeks now and she's very happy with it. It keeps her warm and helps with preventing leg cramps and soothes her arthritic pain.

Works like it should although I haven't checked the "waterproof" part yet. Keeps an even temperature. The auto shutoff is especially convenient. Quite expensive but we will make it up in saved heating costs.

I had a very old sunbeam mattress pad that wasn't behaving right so I ordered a new one. This one heats up much faster and more evenly (whole bed warm in about 10 minutes). I would definitely recommend this.

Review 10 for Sunbeam Heated Waterproof Mattress Pad
Really wanted to like this
,
11/05/2010

This product looks nice. It fits the mattress well. It warms the bed. It makes noise! Yes, I really wanted to like this. I even took the first one back and got a replacement in case there was something wrong. The only thing wrong is the design of this. The way the electricity cycles through the wires it makes a very low - yet audible 60 cycle hum. My memory foam mattress acted as a sound board and the hum was amplified to the point that it would annoy me while I was trying to fall asleep. I then had to turn the pad off. It cycled on and off about every 90 seconds. So just as I was starting to fall asleep, it would hum again - just for 2 seconds - but long enough to keep me awake and annoy me to the point where I finally returned this product for good. I am a light sleeper, so you may never even notice this, but I did and I finally had my very sound sleeper wife agree with me saying that she heard it as well. Sorry Sunbeam. You need to fix this.

I've only had it a few weeks, but it works as advertised. It's so nice to use the pre-heat feature and then hop into bed and turn it off for the night unless it's very cold, then leave it on low for the remainder of the night.

Warms the bed quickly. Dials are easy to use. The side material is a little flimsy so the pad does not fit snuggly on the mattress and tends to move around.

Love the preheat setting. The built in matress pad is a bonus...it is really confortable. I don't like buying items on-line because I can't see them. But rest assured....you will be happy! Can't think of anything I would change on this bedwarmer. Real Cozy !!!

The dual controls are really helpful as hubby sleeps much warmer than I do. It fits our deep mattress perfectly. It's gonna be a comfortable winter this year.

I rely on my heated mattress pad daily and this one seems to be working just as good as my last one which I had for years. The only complaint is that the plug is on the top edge of the pad so my feet can feel it. Otherwise keeps very warm and I keep that at a 2 or 3.

Love it! We can turn down the thermostat at night and stay toasty...even if we kick off the covers! Love the dual controls on the queen size. Warm, quiet, gentle heat. And being able to wash it makes it a winner!

F2 error message started flashing in one of the two Heat Control mechanisms from day one. I e-mailed Walmart customer service about the issue. They promptly agreed to offer me a higher-priced product (Sunbeam Step Up Warming Pad) for the price of the defective one. I was satisfied with the way Walmart handled it.
