Regalo Hide-Away Extra Long Bed Rail

My 2 year son received a Car Twin Bed for his Birthday and we needed a rail that would fit the entire side. It fits the bed great. Its very duarable and it keeps my son secure in his bed. It was a great product and would recommend it.

I would give this Bed Rail 6+ stars if I could thats for sure. Just so you know what our set up is:
Twin Bed, No Box Spring.
We bought this for our two yr old son, he's tall for his age and a toddler bed would have been a WASTE of money so we decided to go with a twin bed & He rolls around a lot so we knew we needed a bed rail and a long one at that, as sometimes you will find him at the end of his bed asleep.
Assembly of the rail was done by myself a 22yr old Stay at home mom as well as putting the rail it self on his bed was done by myself. It is completely doable by yourself, I did pinch my thumb trying to put it on but nothing serious & it was a mistake I made. I also wanted to mention make sure you start assembling the bed rail in an open area where you have enough space to move around, or it can get quite cramped while trying to put it together.

The rail fits flush against my sons bed & then I got up in his bed and rolled against the rail several times & it wouldn't budge. I haven't tried to use the option of putting the rail under the mattress but this rail is long so I can imagine if you are short like I am then it would be hard. But honestly I don't think this rail is ugly, It's not the best looking thing but I won't be putting it up anytime soon under his mattress. The mesh I know everyone hates but I think its a good idea for those babies who like to sleep with their faces up against the rail like my son & With it being see through mesh you can still see your son or daughters cute bedding which is a plus for us with this rail as well. My sons room is done in spongebob so being able to see his bedding is something we wanted.
This rail IS to big for a toddler bed IMO, unless you wanted to fully enclose your son/daughter in their bed but then you might as well stick to the crib rail itself.
This rail is wonderfully made & I would recommend it to anyone.

This is the best safety rail and I'm so glad we bought it! My husband and I had no problem putting it together and no tools were needed. (which I love!) We have a custom firetruck bunk bed and the top bed didn't have a rail. We bought this unsure how it would fit, but I couldn't be happier! Our 5 year old loves sleeping up there now, even the two younger kids climb up there and I don't worry about them tumbling off the edge even when shaking this rail. I did notice that if you do choose to slide the rail under the mattress, it would take two people as the locking pins are far apart, This isn't an issue for us though. I love the extra length and would recommend this rail to anyone needing a full length rail.

Some people wrote about how difficult it is to assemble.. Well, the instructions have TINY HAND DRAWN images that makes it difficult to follow because most of the pieces look alike.. BUT if you're used to assembling furniture, then you can pretty much figure it out.

HOWEVER, there is one thing I should warn you about. This product was bought for an elderly lady to help keep her from falling out of her bed at night. After I spent about an hour putting all of this together, I saw in small print on the instructions that "...this product was intended for children ages 2 through 5 years". Oh Wow.. no where did it say that on the outside packaging or the Walmart website.. Well, I'll see how it holds up because there's no way I'm pulling everything apart... driving back to the store and finding/ordering another unit and assemble that one...

One Thing that has me concerned is that Mesh Top. It is kind of cheap.. I thought it was a hardened plastic from looking at the photos on the web site.. but it's cloth.. and I just know it's going to rip apart soon...

Well, I really can't make any recommendations on this... just letting you know what to expect if you buy this...

Bought this product for a full-size bed. I started to put it together but needed assistance to finish. It works very well to catch my daughter from falling off the bed!

We are extremely,happy with Regalo long bed rail.
We put this at head of bed,instead of in the middle.
Person can get up,but it serves it's purpose in that person can not fall out of bed.
Person is ambulatory,but turns in his sleep and has fallem on the floor before we installed the Regalo rail.

this is a good product, but i wish that i had just gotten the standard length. it extends nearly the entire length of the twin bed, with the exception of about a foot to a foot and a half. my son has a bookshelf/toybox beside his bed, and i can't use the hideaway feature, due to this combined with the length of the bedrail. if you're using this for a toddler, you might consider getting the regular length, since toddlers are so short anyway. wish i had. again, good product.

This rail is not as easy to lock/unlock as you would hope. The only possitive thing is, it's a long rail that is hard to find. The rail itself does the job, but it is a chore ( sometimes needs two people to get the rail to lock in/ or unlock.)

We purchased this product for our 2 year old grandson's visit. It was great. Easy to use and assemble. We have a trundle bed and were a little skeptical as to whether it would work but it slid between the springs and mattress with ease. Leaves him just enough room to get out of the bed.
