I bought the Canopy bookcase, desk, 5 drawer chest, and dining chairs. Would have gotten more but it was going in a small room. I had it shipped to the store and saved over $300 is shipping. Very heavy boxes, filled up the back of a full-sized pick up truck. Furniture is heavy and sturdy when assembled. I tried putting it together by myself but you definetly need help. Be careful putting in the bottom shelf in the cabinet part of the bookcase, I chipped the corner off, but you can't see it. I am very pleased with my purchases. Make sure you buy the correct baskets. I added two pictures, one with the camera flash and one without. The wood color is on the darker side.

Great for the price!,

I bought this bookshelf at the store for $199. It looks like I got a GREAT deal vs the Site-to-Store option. To correct a few other reviews, this unit is not solid wood. The shelves are heavy particle board. Some aspects are solid wood, but not all. I chipped the bottom shelf of the cabinet during assembly, and it is most definitely not solid wood. After doing extensive online and instore research for an audio/media tower, this bookshelf met my needs perfectly! There are grooves in the back of all the shelves to accommodate cords, and there is a hole in the back panel behind the cabinet portion for plugging everything into the wall/tv. It looks more expensive than it really is, and I am sure it will last a long time because of its intended purpose. I was also glad that it did not take long to assemble, although the bottom shelf was a little off, so it took some maneuvering to get it into place. The touch-up marker provided in the assembly kit took care of the scuffs and chip. Plus, the mess I made of it is inside the cabinet, so nobody will ever see it anyway.

Canopy Bookcases,

These bookcases are solid and are a breeze to put together when using two people. My son and I had three put together inside of an hour. Unlike some of the other feedback, I did not notice any lingering smell from the wood stain. Caution when picking up this item from Walmart. The box is 125lbs and measure out more than 75 inches long. Be ready for some heavy lifting and creative transport.

Even my husband likes it!,

We needed a tall dark wood shelf for our kids' room for storage. I'm leery ordering online and not being able to see the product is person, but we had shopped around in person various places and could not find a shelf with the dimensions, style, and price we wanted. This one looked perfect. We bit the bullet, ordered it, did the site-to-store option to avoid shipping costs and are SO glad we did! Even my husband is impressed and he is VERY picky. He put it together himself and it did not take long at all. The wood is dark brown, not black like it looks online. The quality is great and you can't beat the price. The only problem we noticed is one of the doors on the lower cabinet does not latch right. We will have to try and fix this. All is all, we think this shelf is great!
