I bought 3 of these, they are quite heavy and generally well built. The case requires no tools to assemble and went together without a problem. once assembled they are rock solid, to be noted these are made of solid thick wood including the back of the cases. The sides and back are prehinged, all you need to do is install the top, bottom, the bottom doors, and shelves. Took 2 people an hour to setup 3 cases and dispose of the packing, they were well packed. In the interest of safety we installed the anti-tip brackets and screwed the case tops to the wall. The cases were stable without the brackets, on carpet, but considering each case weighed over 100lbs empty we decided not to take a chance with tipping when loaded with books. I used Site to Store to purchase them, got withen 10 days, and the Wal-Mart people were outstanding in getting the cases to our truck and loaded up. I had 1 problem with the whole deal and that pertained to me more than others. The cases are finished with several coats of varnish and after putting 3 cases in a small room, the room reeks with the smell of the finish. To be noted I have lung problems and the oil based varnish is quite intense and I will be airing the room out for at least a month to try to take care of the problem. Even with the finish smell I would buy them again.
