Here's a file cabinet that's presentable anywhere in the home. Though our two drawer file cabinet looks beautiful on the outside, inside it's all business. I just love this file cabinet. Beautiful piece of furniture that isn't particle board! What a relief. Parts fit together nicely. Thick pieces of wood with dove-tailed drawers. I just finished putting this together in less than 30 minutes all by myself. That means a lot to me. Only tool used was a hammer. Instructions were easy to follow and short. My husband and I assembled another brand desk this weekend and it took both of us half the day to complete. I felt like an acrobatic pretzel after that one. Canapy has a good thing going with this product. Now if we can just get Walmart to be more considerate on their pricing. I see the price went up about $30 since last week.

After waiting almost two weeks for tht itemto ship and deliver.The ease of getting it was great. The store personel were very helpful in loading. The ease of putting it together was good. however One drawer was poorly constructed so we glued it together with wood glue. The nails used to secure it were not drilled straight and therefore the wood was cracked and the drawer wobbled. After the glue it held tight.

bought the whole set...Very happy with all pieces. The only weird thing is instead of files facing out(back to front of drawer) they go in sideways(left to right) no big deal though. I was actually amazed about how easy these are to put together!!!

I am very pleased with this file cabinet. I happen to LIKE the way the files fit side to side rather than front to back. Makes filing while sitting at the desk easier, and I use the space in the back for boxes of envelopes, and other storage. This cabinet has a beautiful finish, and seems well constructed. It went together in a snap other than I put the drawer sides on opposite and then when I went to insert the completed drawers in the cabinet, they wouldn't go in. Maybe the drawer sides could be labeled "Left - Right" to make things easier. Other than that little "glitch" it is a wonderful product and I am VERY pleased with the final outcome. Definite value for the price!!

I was so pleased with this file cabinet from Wal-Mart's Canopy Cornerstone Collection. The solid hardwood and genuine birch veneer is beautiful. It was a cinch to put together. No screwdrivers! I love this file cabinet, it looks like a piece of furniture in my living room. The only problem I encountered was that the top draw doesn't leave room for the tabs that separate and name the folders. I drilled the holes for the rods lower, and that solved my problem.

this is a very nice looking cabinet. easy to assemble and appears to be all wood. very good value. however, there are two design deficiencies: 1. letter-size hanging files can only be inserted side to side, not front to back like in a traditional file cabinet. therefore, there is a lot of wasted space in each drawer that could be used for additional storage. there should have been provisions for hanging letter-size files front to back, as there seems to be enough room in the cabinet already to do this easily 2. file folders with tabs get hung up when the top drawer is closed. there is not enough clearance between the tabs and the cabinet frame. i have read in other reviews that this problem can be solved with a little home woodworking, but i have yet to do this.

Couldn't Get it Together!,

I usually find it rather simple to assemble things. This should have taken me about a half hour to construct. The slides for one of the side pieces was not lined up correctly and made it virtually impossible to get it on completely. I tried to pound with a mallet to no avail. Then I couldn't get it off! My husband also could not get the piece completely on but was able to get it off. But this was not without some damage to the front piece. This was probably an issue with the individual piece of furniture since I see others were able to successfully construct theirs.
I also want to comment that letter size files will not go in facing the front. they fit sideways so there is actually less storage than I first expected. Too bad they piece isn't a bit wider to accommodate front faing files, and a bit less deep. I would have dealt with it had I been able to easily assemble the piece. But since correct assembly was impossible, I have decided to return the piece for a refund.
I did like the look of the pieces and it would have been a rather nice looking cabinet. the drawers were dovetailed and could have been reinforced with some wood glue. they are just held together with pins otherwise. Not a bad piece though for the price if it can be assembled.

this was one of the easiest things to put together - I'm not one to really actually read the instructions on putting things together, and it took about 15-20 minutes without looking. No tools were required, and my 18mth old extremely nosey/busy daughter hasn't figured out what it's for (YET), but I'm sure she will - It's purfect height works as a night stand/filing cabinet which it what I wanted it for - the only thing that I forgot to do was get it with a locking mechanism to keep it locked due to my toddler.
