Canopy File Cabinet, Mahogany Finish

I wasn't sure if this product was going to be what I expected but when it arrived and was put together..I loved it! Very sturdy and strong pieces of furniture.

Bought this as a set (desk, bookcase & file drawers).

All 3 pieces came well-packaged and super easy to assemble (did all 3 by myself in just an hour). Best of all, they look great I can't believe it came from a discount store!! I'm purchasing the Canopy storage bench and console table next.

I bought the file cabinet because the dark wood matched my computer desk. The item arrived and I assembled it (which was very easy). Everything was going great until I started to put my files into it. I realized that when I used the hanging files folders and tried to close the drawer, the tabs of the manila folders were too high for the drawer to close. I thought, how stupid to make a file cabinet that allows for hanging file folders but yet does not have enough clearance for the folders that go in it. Well, what happened was that I took out all the hanging file folders and just placed the manila folders in the drawer. It's not very organized but it'll have to work for now. Aesthetically, the cabinet looks great but functionality, I guess, wasn't considered when being built. The only reason I recommended it is because it looks nice, and it can still be used despite the flaw.

I was impressed with this product! It is a real piece of quality furniture that fits well in my home. Just be aware that it comes in pieces so you have to put it together.

It serves two purposes: much needed file storage PLUS a beautiful piece of furniture! I am using it as a night stand in my room.

This file cabinet is great. It matches my espresso bedroom furniture almost exactly, and it took me (a mother with an infant requiring attention) less than an hour to assemble by myself. I am tempted to buy another! I wish I had not spent so much money on the night table that matches my bedroom furniture. This does the job, and it is functional!

My product came out crooked when I placed it together and all the other items didnt so I was a bit saddeded. I think the top shelf should of been a bit lower for the hanging files because the tabs keep hitting when I close the cabinet. I am going to have to make the drawer for something else which I am not happy about. I love the finish and I loved the way its assembled but I like the desk and bookshelf more then the file cabinet.

This was great for my office. It was bigger than I expected, very roomy. It was a little tough for me to put together, so my husband helped. Overall a great buy for the price.

bought several pieces in this line. many compliments. updated, but still traditional. not as roomy as i would like, but satisfactory and looks very good with the desk. same hight and used for printer stand.

Let me start by saying that this file, the whole canopy line really, looks great. The file is very sturdy overall.

One thing I am not crazy about is how the drawers are assembled. Although the small pins do hold it together, I've found some wood glue in between the teeth holds it together better.

Another thing that is kinda of bad is that the top file will not close correctly when the files are in place. The tabs on the top of the folders catch on the top of the drawer frame. The bottom drawer works fine though.

I would recommend this for the look and quality but not so much for the functionality due to the one faulty file drawer design.
