This truly is a beautiful piece of furniture and we are pleased with the final product. However, I am not sure if we got a bad box or what...one of our drawers' pieces were so bowed that it can just barely be pushed in and pulled out. Not only that, but the main pieces that are fitted together have the most difficult brackets to fit together - you can't see if they're properly aligned until it's too late. I literally had to put all 4 of the main body pieces together and take them apart probably 5 times! QUITE the pain as I was working alone. (I honestly was happy to do it alone though as I can only imagine the stress/strife it would have caused trying to work WITH someone.) And then the directions tell you those pieces might have to be "gently" tapped into place - well, I had to do more than a little gentle tapping, that's for sure! I'm thinking we must have just gotten a bad set of pieces or something. But overall, again, it is a beautiful piece and now that it's all put together and in place, I wouldn't want anything else! :) The overall value & quality for the price CANNOT be beat...I know...I've looked around for a LONG time!

Our canopy console arrived 5 days early @ the store and pick -up went smooth.I was impressed with the extra strong cushioned packaging and the product was blemish free upon inspection.Quite impressive looking it appears to be a piece that would cost 1000 or more once assembled.it took me about 1 1/2 hours from unloading till completion.Iwas happy with the new "bracket style" assembly and dove tail drawer construction-all hardware was easily identifiable and the instructions were accurate and easy to follow.A hammer with a small head and a rubber mallet were all I needed.Highly recommend the product it definitely doesn't feel or appear cheap-may order additional peices in future

I was a bit hesitant at first to purchase this online since there were no local stores that carried this so I could not see it in person before buying. However, the site-to-store shipping was very convenient and easy. I knew I could count on Walmart to take it back if I was not happy with it. this item was well worth the money, I wasnt sure what it was going to be like once I bought it but it looks great, was easy to put together and was able to get it put together in less than an hour. The only somewhat negative thing I can say about this is the finish protector that is used on this does have a noticeable smell to it so someone who is sensitive to scents might have a problem with it

I looked for awhile before buying this item, but I couldn't find another piece of furniture that was this great for this price. I was surprised that the product was 97% solid wood vs. thin flimsy boards. Buy this product you will not be disappointed. Also you have the option of taking out the drawers and having open shelves.

I love my console table! That being said, this thing is not easy to put together. It took my hubby and I about 3 hours to put together, and we are pretty handy. Maybe we had defective parts, we had to break it apart a few times until we got the brackets to lock. End result is a beautiful piece of furniture. It was frustating though!

I am so happy to have taken the plunge and made this purchase because this is a quality piece of furniture and I love it. It is indeed made of solid wood with dovetail joints in its drawers, and the back of the unit is certainly nice enough to be exposed (no cardboard or particle board here!).
Having two people to assemble this console is a must, because the pieces are quite heavy and it would be a tricky issue to line up all brackets with only one set of hands. Getting the brackets to line up and lock properly was actually more difficult than I expected it to be, but it was certainly still doable. I used the tapping block a lot to get things just right and tight. Dowloading the assembly instructions from walmart.com is a MUST, because they are indeed different from those included in the box and will shorten how long it takes to get it put together and preserve your sanity. I had no stain pen in my box, either, but customer service was polite and prompt in shipping out a replacement.
This console is beautiful and functional, and we are using it as a buffet in our dining room. Try it -- you won't be sorry!

We've had our "Anywhere Table" for a couple of weeks, and it's working out really nicely. It seems like a well-made piece of furniture; it's pretty solid. It was pretty simple to assemble, and it doesn't look like a piece of furniture you have to put together yourself. I also love the fact that it's so versatile. Right now we're using it as a TV stand, but down the road we have the option to put all the drawers in the middle and use it in our dining room, etc. Great piece.

We bought this thinking it would be the usual cheap piece of er um. It was VERY well made. Went together fairly easily. Gave options of knobs and gave the option of either drawers or self storing shelves.
Frankly it was better quality then the stuff we've been looking at in the furniture stores.
WELL worth the money and looks great. Everyone who comes over comments on it and asks where we got it, often referencing the more expensive furniture store.

Used this piece in a model home for apartment community. The small scale helps it tuck in anywhere, add a dramatic mirror and tall skinny lamps...viola!
It took four of my crew to put it together because sliding parts have to be at a 90 degree angle in several places at once.
Don't try to assemble alone...frustrating!
The overall look was fabulous, with the bedside tables from the group. I am using another one this week at another job.

Excellent product! Using as an entertainment stand for a 27" flatscreen tv, looks wonderful. Definitely has a high-end look, without the price. Very easy to switch drawers to shelves and vice versa. LOTS of storage. As other reviewers have said: item is VERY VERY heavy, get some help! Also, does have a strong varnish smell when you open it, lingered for about 3 days. Is definitely Mahogany in color, not black. Easy assembly, did it myself in about 2 hours, would be much quicker with a second person. Assembles with interlocking hinges, make sure you pay attention to the directions (which are very easy), it is hard to get the piece to come off the hinges if it is facing the wrong way!

I had been looking and looking for a buffet table just like this for months! I looked everywhere: Amazon, Target, Craigslist, JCPenney, you name it--I looked! Everything I liked was waay too expensive and the more affordable ones were NOT what I was looking for. Until one day I came across this buffet table and was very surprised to find it through Wal-Mart and to top things was even more shocked at the excellent reviews it had. I hesitated for a few weeks, but then decided to go ahead and purchase it for fear that it may be no longer availabe when I was finally ready to buy it. The delivery was speedy and got to the store in less time than I had anticipated. The box was huuuge, much bigger than we thought, but we managed to bring it home. My husband put it together in about 2 hours and let's just say it is FANTASTIC!!! Everything I had wanted and more! It's definitely sturdy and looks much more expensive than it costs. I would highly recommend this. I love it's multi-use! I'm using it in my dining room as a buffet table and it looks gorgeous! My hubby and I are very exicted about it.

This piece looks great and was really easy to put together. Took my husband and dad less than half an hour to assemble. We've had it for about 6 months and are using it as a hallway table. I love the way it looks. The drawers, however, stick and the left cabinet door needs some adjustment and does not close properly but its fixable so i am not complaining. For the price it looks expensive and is a solid piece of furniture. I would recommend it.

I wanted to wait several months before posting my review about this multi-function piece of furniture. I purchased this piece of furniture back in February 2009, to set up in my 7yr-old twins (boys) room for their 42 lcd TV and video games and other items. I knew if this piece of furniture could pass the twins test, it was a great piece of furniture. It has been over 6months and you would not believe how beautiful this piece of furniture looks and the storage it offers is wonderful. Please believe me when I say it is not easy to assemble, especially not alone, as I had to complete. If you do purchase this piece of furniture I advise you to order it and have it sent to your Wal-mart location it is free and they will assemble it free. Before I purchased this multi-function furniture, I researched some of the top of the line department and furniture stores and no one had anything close to this for the price or the quality. It is worth the money and we all know with Wal-Mart if you are not satisfied, you can return it to any store even if you ordered it online. No one can beat Wal-Mart true saving and now I am a furniture lover.
