Stephanie Meyer has done it again! This book is incredible! But don't let your opinion of the twilight series base your decision of reading this. It's a completely different story line, full of action, there is some romance but it's not a mushy love story. I would and have recommended this book to friends and family! Buy it you will LOVE it!!

I am a huge fan of the Twilight series, and I was a little skeptical about this book. I was worried it would be just like Twilight, but it wasn't. It has a love story, or two, but the book is about so much more. I read it in a weekend, and have already barrowed it out. I will be reading it again!

This book is another wonder by Stephanie Meyer. It is a little confusing in the beginning, but once you figure it out.........WOW! I would love to see them make a move out of this one. I hope Stephanie writes more books she is super.

This book had me from the first chapter. It made me question "what if?" What if the guy I was in love with hated me so bad that he would be willing to kill me? What if the way you was taught to feel and act was not how you wanted to be? This book was so amazing that I did not sleep at all until I finished it. And when I finally put it down I was sad that it had ended.

I have never really been into reading, I thought it was boring. That is not the case with this book! It was a little hard to get into at the beginning but about 1/4 of the way through, I did not want to put it down. Everything was so easy to picture and play out in my head. When I was done and heard that there will be a movie made from it, it just made it 10 times better! I can't wait to read it again sometime.

I had read Twilight saga books and love them. I saw this one at the library and tried to read it. At first I couldn't, an alien taken over a human's body. Evil. Horrible. The stuff of people's nightmares. At least mine, so I could not get into it. After two weeks of putting it down and picking it up, I did the unthinkable. I read the ending first and took myself out the way. Iwas hooked. Wanda is not evil. She is one the kindest, sweetest most unselfish souls there is, and we as humans should strive to be like her. I took the book back to the library and bought the book online so Icould it read over and over. I hope the rest of the series comes out and now I want to see the movie when it comes out. Thanks Stephanie Meyers for a great book. I recommeded it highly.

This book was awesome. I could not put it down. I enjoy how Stephanie Meyers writes in the first person. The best part of this book is it is nothing like the Twilight series (I loved those books as well). She allowed her imagination to flow freely and has made a great read! It is also great for all ages!

This book in the first few chapters were a bit confusing, but once you get a sense of who's pov you are reading from, it's turns out to be a really good story. The book ended well, while also leaving you with an urge to want more! If you are getting this book in hopes that it's like Twilight, don't because it's far from it! I'm not sure why she considers this her first "adult novel" though..there was hardly any romance.....Twilight had waaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyy more romance! But overall, it's a good read!

This is a great book. I couldn't put it down. My kids got me interested in the Twilight series. (I wanted to see what they were reading) Then I saw this book. Its wild. LOL (I mean that in a good way). I could not put the book down Wanda cracks me up.

Literally - I stayed awake until 5am (thank God it was a weekend) and read this through - it's a great tale on many different levels. More mature than the Twilight Series, but just as addictive. Would love to see it made into a series of books! PS - I've read it twice, and the second time was as good as the first!

honestly i loved it i will admit it was a little confusing at first but if you keep reading you realize it adds to the exitement of wanting to keep reading and in the end i wanted a sequal i truely recomend it all fans of Stephenie Meyer should read "The Host"

I liked the Host more than Twilight. Dont get me wrong I love the Twilight Saga, but I felt like the Host was more my age. Sometimes I felt like Twilight was too High School for me and the Host is more adult. Its a good story. They both are wonderful and I recommend BOTH!!

I read this book after I read the Twilight series. Unfortunately, that caused me to endlessly compare this book to those. While this book has an excellent story, it couldn't really hold its own with the Twilight series. Stephenie Meyer did create a very interesting world in the Host. The characters were three-dimensional, and were easily relateable.
