Getting in shape in a few weeks is as simple as spending a little time everyday working on the Stamina SpaceMate Folding Stepper. It not only gives a great low-impact, calorie burning, cardiovascular workout, but tones the calves, buttocks, thighs, and hips, too. With two adjustable hydraulic cylinders, this stepper provides a smooth stepping motion. The handlebars are covered with foam to provide a comfortable grip while working out. This is a good piece of equipment and will provide a good workout. However, the handles can be difficult to get on and you will have to use a lot of hand soap and water to get the handles on. Also, the back cap/feet don't fit on as snug as they should. Overall I would recommend this piece of equipment.

I have worked out on an incline treadmill for 9 years but when I moved I could not fit the treadmill into my new home. So, I saw this little stepper & thought "what the heck" ... if the stepper doesn't perform, it's not like I'm out a ton of money.
I was EXTREMELY surprised by the solid, heavy construction of this little stepper. It is NOT flimsy, AT ALL, but is small enough to fit anywhere in my home. I just started using it on a regular basis & can't wait to see the results as time goes on.
After 45 minutes on it, I am dripping with sweat ... so this little guy packs a big punch. I would HIGHLY recommend this stepper to anyone. My only complaint is the little calculator it comes with ... I have a feeling this does not accurately count how many calories are burned.

I'm a male in my early 30's, pretty good shape, about 5'10", 170lbs. My eliptical recently broke and I was looking for something inexpensive that could be stashed away easily. I was concerned about how "intense" of a workout I could get from this machine and if it would be too small. In regards to the intensity, the ability to adjust the resistance is nice and if you really want to get after it you can. 30 minutes on this is much more difficult than 30 minutes on an elliptical (con: you don't get an upper body workout). The quality is much sturdier/better than I expected and its already assembled (except for a couple small things). If I was any bigger, this machine might be too small, but it works for me. Great value for a little over $100.

if you are currently struggling to find equipment that accommodates your short stature... Buy this immediately. I am exactly five feet tall and 101 pounds. You name it, I've tried it... But NOTHING was even remotely adjustable enough to accommodate me. Not only is this equipment comfortable, but at ZERO resistance it is still effective and still a challenge to work out with. (And there is a lot of resistance to go around with this machine! I will be re-adjusting it weekly for the next year, I am sure.)
On the contrary, my husband is 6 foot 1 and about 240 pounds and this machine looks like a toy beneath him! It is not intended for people 250 or over, and it looks plain uncomfortable for my husband's height. I'd start backing off this idea at 6 feet for sure.
The only reason that I am not giving it an even higher mark is simply because the gauge only counts steps, clocks time or counts calories, but not all three at once. Be aware that after you step off the machine... Your stat resets to zero! But the price is amazing, the work out is as hard as you choose to make it and the assembly is a piece of cake!

This stepper is a good price and a well made piece of home gym equipment. Had it shipped to my home. Was delivered quickly. Easy to put together. Very little assembly required. I don't fold it up but it doesn't take up very much room. Will give you a nice workout.

For a moderately priced stepper I find it is well made, compact and works very well. I guess the fact that you can fold it and store it is a bonus although I leave mine up so I can hop on it at any time. I'm very happy with my purchase and would recommend it to a friend. In fact, I bought mine on a friend's recommendation.

I was skeptical about this product at first, so my expectations of it's quality was rather low. But, when I received it, I was immediately impressed by the quality of it's construction. I had a problem with the sensor when I got the stepper. It was not working properly. I called the manufacturer's customer service to report the issue, and they sent me a new sensor right away, no questions asked. That fixed the problem and I am extremely satisfied with my purchase. Now, I want to see how long it lasts. But given the sturdy construction, my expectations are quite high now.

I LOVE IT! Just got it and was very impressed with how sturdy it is and how easy it was to assemble. It is small enough to fit under the bed when folded up and not so big and bulky when in an uprigt position. Perfect for a small space.

I ordered the stepper online, and was a bit surprised at how small it is- which in my case wasn't necessarily a bad thing because there isn't much space left in my bedroom. It really is a space saver-even when it's not folded up. I'm a relatively big guy and I probably look a bit silly on it. It looks like it was designed for small men, ladies or kids.
I still like it though. Despite it's size, it feels good (adjustable) and seems (so far) to be pretty quiet. I've had steppers before that didn't give me enough of a workout, and stair machines that weren't fun because the workout was too intense. This seems just right and I can stay on it for a while and get a pretty good workout. Also, it was easy to put together and very affordable.
I still like it though. Despite it's size, it feels good (adjustable) and seems (so far) to be pretty quiet. The Stamina Stepper's sensor did not work after I put all parts together. I called the company and they said I had to replace the wire that connects the sensor to the stepper. I received the wire in a few days, and I will tell you that it was NOT an easy task to replace that wire. With the new wire the sensor still did not work. I had only zeros on the display. Spending some more time on the telephone with the representatives, I was advised to attach the sensor closer to the magnet. Does anybody know that there is a magnet on that stepper? I did not know it. There is no information about how this stepper works in the manual. So, looking at all parts of the stepper I decided to replace the sensor and attach it to the plate on the opposite side of it. And yes! it worked! My question to the company was "Is anybody at the end of the assembly line check if the product works properly? WHY was that sensor attached on the wrong side?" By the way, the magnet and the sensor do not correspond properly, they somewhat shifted apart.
The company emailed to me that they would reply in 2 business days. More than a week passed and nobody ever responded to me.
The customer service is very bad. First, they sell not properly working equipment, then ask customers to fix their not working items by themselves, and finally they ignore customers' complains.

I took my time putting it together in about 45 mins. The parts list is kind of a surprise as there are FEW parts and in small print it says "some of the hardware (parts) listed may be attached to other parts. Yup. That is where I found them. already screwed into place. I basically had to only deal with 4 screws, the foam covers for the handles and the electronic meter. Note the meter only reads a step when the pedal passes the magnet at the bottom, so no problems so far counting correctly (or just ignore it and work hard). I am 120 pounds, the unit is stable enough for me and I love that it is small and takes up minimal space. It had some dents and scratches right outa the box, but only cosmetic- no issues with function.

my husband and i use this almost every day and it meets our needs. i put it together in about 20 minutes. when the package was delivered, the plastic knob that you screw into the body to keep it upright (otherwise it will fold) was completely smashed to bits. the screwing part is still intact--just the plastic of it was smashed. it's hard to describe. anyways, the thing still works, it just doesn't look quite as nice as the picture. didn't feel like returning it.
what i really like about it is that the difficulty settings are pretty broad, so there is little chance of building up a tolerance to this machine. at least not for me. at least not for a loooong time!
