I love this toaster! I used to think toast was just toast and a toaster is just a toaster. Not true. I love the individual temperature controls and the wide opening for bagels. It looks great on my kitchen counter. I don't have to hide it away like the ugly white ones that I own.

The ease that this toaster allows you. The only problem that we could see was the fact that the dial did not have any mark to show you where you were on the dial. That was remedied with some "White Out" now the dial can be set. Works great I haven't even burned any toast yet.

Seems to toast a bit slower than my old $12 one. When I first got it I turned both knobs to high to burn off the "newness." Forgot to turn it back to a normal setting and used it the next day and it barely browned a bagel on "6" with the bagel setting. ALSO, it looks nicer in the pic than it does on the counter. The black plastic looks a bit cheap, but it will work for now.

I purchased this model relying on the name and former experiences with Black and Decker. It has plenty of bells and whisles for a toaster but it doesn't do a good job. It is very inconsistant in darkness, it takes forever to cycle, there is no such thing as "dark" with one cycle. If you push it down for a second cycle to try to guess how long to get the toast dark, it will dry the bread out because of how long it must heat the bread, bagel, etc. It does toast, but over all, not satisfied with it.
