My 10 year old who is very bright loves it so I bought it for my 13 year old nephew who also loves it. It is challenging but you can get hints if you cannot solve the puzzles. I enjoy working the puzzles myself so my son and I usually play together and he reads me the clues.

This game easily keeps my attention and amuses me for hours. I don't care much for the skipping around it does, it leaves too many open cases and makes me feel a little overloaded. The puzzles can get quite hard so I stay near a computer just in case I need to look up te answer. This is the perfect game for anyone who enjoys puzzles.

Got the product for my son (12 years old) for Christmas. He loves it, loves it. He tells me that the puzzles were hard but fun. Kept him occupied during the break. He already bought the sequel with his own money so he can continue playing after he finish with this one. Would reccomend to anyone who likes to brainteaser games and puzzles.

I love "smart games" for my children and this is a great example. I would say this is for 7 and up if your child is a strong reader. Makes them think and solve challenging problems in a fun way. This and Scribblenauts are our favorites.

My mom got this game and she loves it and I get to play it to! it is very fun if you love puzzles but if you don't like puzzles then I wouldn't recommend this for you! it has lots of fun puzzles to solve thought! they are just hidden and you have to find them (well not all of them are hidden but you can sometimes find some by accident) and you can find hidden coins that let you get hints when you are doing the puzzle but use them wisely!

This is one of the Professor Layton series games which provides logic puzzles for you to solve throughout the game as you work your way through it. Some of the puzzles are challenging, so I would recommend this game mainly for older children and adults who enjoy solving logic puzzles. I enjoyed this game and the story is interesting. I will be purchasing the other game in this series!

I've had this game for about a year, and let me tell you, I haven't been dissapointed with it for a second. This is no doubt the best game I have ever played for the DS. It's not some easy game you can beat in five seconds, but it's so fun it makes you want to take the time to beat it. (Which I've done around 3-4 times) It has an excellent plot and storyline, and really pulls you into the game. When I first started playing the puzzles were way to hard, and I had to have family members help me with them, but now I've gotten a lot better. Sure there are a couple of puzzles that are just beyond me, (I generally complete 85 of the 120 puzzles) but it's still a great game and I highly reccomend it, although as some other reviews said, it's probably too difficult for kids under 13. The sequel, "Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box" came out the other day, and I can't wait to buy it!!!
