Bissell Steam Mop Hard Floor Cleaner

I was hoping this steam mop would get my tile floor cleaner and get out ground in dirt. If you make the mop head wet with lots of steam, the dirt flows into the grout and stays there instead. The mop pad is not thick enough to wick the dirty water out of the grouted areas. A more dimensional mop pad would do a better job. Also, a scrub strip on the pad would be a good addition.
The mop itself is easy to push, easy to fill and probably would be terrific on a laminate floor without grooves.

Our new golden retriever puppy means mopping our laminate floors more often than I care to, but he's worth it. The mop and bucket meant wasted water and wasted time. The Bissell Steam Mop is great! I fill it one time to do my whole downstairs and with the two cleaning pads it comes with, I'm not pushing dirt around. The swivel head is easy to navigate and makes it easy to get in all kinds of places. If floors are heavily soiled, there may be some streaking, but go over them again and they're sure to come out shiny. Would highly recommend this product.

This steam mop has been a real money saver for us. The grout between our ceramic tile had become dark because of years of use. I thought we would have to have it replaced. I had used a Swiffer mop for years, but it wasn't helping it. One use with the Bissell mop, and I couldn't believe how bright the grout became. Now I use it weekly and the floor looks great.

WOW! I cannot imagine ever cleaning my tile floors without this steam mop! It is everything I had hoped it would be and more!
It was so fast and simple I just called my daughter to see if I could come over and clean her tile floors!

The Bissell Steam Mop is a great product. It is easy to assemble and use. All you need to do is fill the water tank and plug it in. Within minutes it is ready to use. Just mop the floor as you normally would and you are done. No chemicals,no waiting for the floor to dry,just a clean floor.

Bought a Steamfast Steam mop last year and it cracked twice on me, leaking water all over the floor. The first time it was within the warranty period but the second time was 13 months in. All the steam mops out there are made of plastic so I replaced my Steamfast with a Bissell that looked like it was built better. It especially feels stronger where the swivel mop neck and handle meet. I like the fact that it is built heavier and tougher and could care less if it is 2 pounds heavier than my old Steamfast, just as long as it doesn't crack into pieces. I also like the trigger so you can release steam when you want instead of it constantly spewing steam and dripping water everywhere. Works much better then the SteamFast and can apply pressure to the mop handle without worry of it cracking. The Bissell works good on my dark laminate flooring but works excellent to clean linoleum bathroom floors that are gunked up with hairspray. If your pad is new and clean, you will have few streaks to deal with. If you’re debating between a Steamfast and a Bissell, I highly recommend the Bissell. I recently purchased this floor cleaner and tried it last night for the first time. It's very sturdy and simple to use, however, it didn't do the best job in cleaning my kitchen floor. After I was done, I wiped a damp paper towel across the floor and it was still dirty! My floors are cleaned every week with pine-sol and a good old fashioned mop so they weren't that dirty to begin with! On the plus side, the floor felt clean when I walked on it. I'm going to give it another try in a few days.

I read a lot of reviews on-line before purchasing this item because I had received a coupon for the Shark mop instead and I wanted to be certain I made the right choice. According to the reviews, I did make the right choice. But I am still struggling to get the mop to work as perfectly as some of the others claim.
For instance, I get ALOT of water left behind and have to use paper towels to mop up some of it. It appears that I get the least amount of surface water in the beginning of a mopping with a dry cloth. Once the cloth gets too wet, then it leaves behind ALOT of water.
Also, I didn't tighten the cap as much to see if the suction of the machine was faulty. Based on the fact that I got two nearly perfect runs of 10'x4' with no surface water, then the seal on the cap must be okay.
I guess I have to replace the mop cloth more often, but every 6-7 minutes is a little ridiculous. Not to mention that I don't feel like purchasing 3 extra sets of cloths to avoid the sopping mess. But, again, I guess that's a small price to pay for the awesome steam cleaning.
I have noticed that the first cleaning is pretty dirty but that the second time yields less dirt. Which means that the cleaning is really deep. I also love the fact that marker stains and dried up food stains come out easily.
Overall, I am happy with the product but I sure wish it was perfect every time. Oh, and I have wooden floors, Pergo floors and linoleum tiles and all came out fine. I can't wait to try it on the ceramic tiles in the bathroom.

Loved the steam mop. It's lightweight, easy to use & does the job quick. No buckets, no soapy mess on your floors. And you just throw the mop pad in the washing machine to clean it when you are finished. Couldn't get easier than that!
