I have a handicapped daughter and I bought the Hard Bonnet Salon Dryer to dry her hair after she has color put on her hair or dries her hair after she gets her hair washed. This hair dryer is a very good dryer and it has done what it needs to do.

I bought this dryer to replace an old (10+ years)one. It was very light weight plastic. The holes in the dryer don't go all the way down to the bottom. So, the bottom of your hair doesn't get dry, without sticking your whole head up into the bonnet.

This contraption is not worth the money I paid for it. It is unstable on flat surfaces and the hood becomes unhinged very easily which is "very" frustrating if you're trying to prepare for an engagement. The quality of this product is "not good." I chose the more expensive product thinking it was of better quality and found it is not worth the price.

My first time using the dryer, the neck of the hood got really hot and the grooves that adjust the hood stopped working. In the middle of drying my hair the hood kept falling on my head.

This dryer is light and kind of flimsy compared to others I've had in past, but it served my purpose which was deep conditioning. I wouldn't suggest it for roller sets because the air doesn't get to the back very well. As others have mentioned, this dryer is very very loud. It was also cheaper than my other dryers so I guess you get what you pay for.

Loovvveee this dryer. I have really thick hair that usually takes an hour and a half to two hours to dry. I was amazed when my hair dried in 45minutes!!! The dryer gets rly hot and leaves your hair silky and not frizzy due to the ionic feature. Definately worth the money!!

My sister had a dryer like this one (different brand), so I went ahead and got Revlon because it's a brand that I trust. I wish there was a medium setting...apparently nobody has one. :( Anyway, it's great for steaming my natural hair and it's not as loud as people complain. I have yet to use a hood dryer that's whisper quiet. No consumer remorse here. I'll be roller setting with more success now because of the fast drying. :)

This dryer is easy to use. It left my hair very soft and shiny! I only gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because it is loud and also because it does not dry the hair on the back of the head well, you have to move the hood around.

This dryer does not accomodate big rollers. I bought it to avoid having to sleep in my big rollers, it does not dry the bottom rollers. The "bonnet" is not big enought to fit the big rollers into. I have long hair, and have been trying to find 3" hot rollers, or the plastic rollers and not have to sleep in them(not very comfy). Thought I had the solution....nope! If you are buying this dryer to accomodate 3" inch rollers, be prepared for wet bottom rollers, and the hair looking terrible. I promptly returned the dryer to my local store the following day.

I knew when I received the Amber Waves hard bonnet hair dryer that it was similar in design and appearance to one that I owned earlier.
That is where the simiarity ends. This hair dryer has a larger area of heat openings. The hood also stays locked in place until I take it apart to put it away.
Good value, and is definitley a keeper. Have only had it for a week, so time will tell how long it lasts!
The other one died on me without a whimper- after two years of light use!

i bought this hair dryer b/c of the price. well, i wish i had put more effort in buying one because of quality. it did dry my hair in half the time that it would take with a salon dryer.

cons: 1) loud
2) only low and high heat speeds
3) dries the top of the hair so fast that your scalp is burned by the time the back of your head is dry
