I bought this because my apartment is really dry. I used it at night, but didn't really notice much of a difference. It is super cute though.
I was a little put off because when I went to return it, it rang up for $10 less than what I paid for it online. Though I was refunded appropriately, it was disappointing that I spent $10 more than I would have if they had the item in stock.
Cute, but not worth $40.

I was expecting this humidifier to make some kind of sound even if it was just a hissing noise, but this one is whisper quiet. When running, you have to look at it to make sure it is running. I'm very pleased with this purchase.

This little guy is adorable!!! It ispretty quiet... although I am a super light sleeper, so I started running it during the day and then turning it off at night - that works perfectly for me.
The adjustable hat allows you to point the direction of the steam which is a nice feature

Bought this for my girls' room. I love. It because it's easy to clean, easy to use, and it's not loud at all. When you feel it up with water it can last 3-4 days depending on the setting of the mist. Great buy, great product!

I orded this for my mom; she says it is helping with the dryness in her nose; it's very portable and he looks cute and she enjoys the cool mist better than the warm mist of most humidifiers and it requires no filters.

This product is very cute and quite but after a few days it just stopped working. so I returned it and bought another thinking maybe I just got a dud. not after a few days the second one quit as well. I only used distilled water and shut the unit off to fill the tank. Nither unit lasted more then a week. Its a a dissapoint me seeing as its a VERY quite unit. :( very dissapointed in the product

This humidifier started out working pretty good but within a week the cold mist coming out had less power. Instead of shooting the mist straight up in the air it drizzled down on the machine causing it to get wet.
I do not recommend this product due to the power being not strong enough. I returned it within two weeks of giving it a shot.

Our wood stove was giving the family dry ichy skin. This product solved the issue, and the youngest one loves to refill Mr Penguin, he is cute and a great conversation piece too. Price was great. Really puts out a good amount of humidity.

I got this because it was supposed to be very quiet and it was for the first 2 days. After the first fill up it got noisy and I can't get it to quiet back down. Now it is as loud as the large one I was replacing because it was too noisy. It does its job at humidifying, but I wish it had stayed quiet.

I've only had this product for two weeks, so this is a short term review. This humidifier produces a great deal of cool mist when on high -- so much so that I had to put a towel under the machine because the mist was getting everything below it wet. After turning the mist down things are no longer getting wet. The mist flows down rather than spurting upward, so it seems that the humidifier should be above the location where the mist is needed.

I read all the reviews on this product in hopes it was a great humidifer as i need one for my dry skin. i received it quick from ordering online opened it up and read directions and filled it full of distilled water, fired it up and hours later the tank was still full and no bubbles or mist anywhere. i pulled the tank off to check for bubbles and operaion and the water just sat there. the blower was working but didnt make any mist or do its job. so i returned it back to my local walmart and bought a sunbeam 1 touch cool mist humidifer and this baby rocks. it will filter the water for you and has a auto thermostate to kick it on and off at a certain humidity rating. very well pleased with sunbeam but i would not reccoment the penguin to anyone. it looks neat but does not perform at all !
