Known as "The World's Lightest Luggage Set," the XCase-XL is made of a durable blend of polycarbonate and ABS for rigidity and flexibility. These cases won't permanently deform when under pressure but will pop back into their original shape. The large, ball-bearing wheels are located on the outside edge of the luggage to provide greater stability and control when rolling over rough surfaces. I bought it because I wanted a big matching set that was sturdy and lightweight (bought 2 sets). I love that they are hard and protect my belongings, but "give" and bounce back when crunched. We took a trip across country, flying, right after I bought them, and they held up great and none of my belongings were broken. Just what I'd hoped for. Good stuff.
