Vtech Kidizoom Camera

I must say that I am so glad that I chose the V-tech version of this camera instead of Fisher-Price from all the research I did. We took this camera to the zoo shortly after purchasing it and it was fanstastic watching a 4 year old take photos of his favorites. The photos don't normally turn out becuase he's still at that stage where aim isn't very good - but for those that do turn out, we put them on the PC and play even more with all the added editting features. I'm going to be making an album that's just his so that when he's older he can look back and see how his interests changed on what to photograph. Well constructed, takes okay photos (be sure to be in good lighting, otherwise the flash makes everything come out bright and unrecognizable) and doesn't seem like it will become a "fad" toy with this kid. Love this camera. I bought this after careful review of all the products out there. Love that it has the video taking feature not usually included with kids' cameras. The kids also love to play the games included. They are simple games like tic-tac-toe, but a nice added feature.

I am very pleased with this product. I did a lot of research and every review pointed me to this camera. It is very sturdy, my son(3) has dropped it many-many times and once launched it across the room. Also, suprisingly it takes decent pictures if he can hold still long enough. He loves taking pictures and really likes playing the games on it.

My 4 year old son LOVES this camera. He plays with it all the time. It has become his favorite toy. I ordered it online and did not even realize that there are games on it also. Great gift.

This thing takes almost a full min. to turn on, it is just so slow all the way around! As soon as you can get it to turn on it takes another min, or sometimes more, for it to do anything! you hit the "mode" button and have to wait for the screen to come up and as soon as it does you have to press a button as fast as you can so it wont shut off. All in all I am not happy with this @ all!!! I think I will take it back and see if I just got a bad one.

Bought this for my five year old and she can't put it down! It takes pics, makes movies and has three games to play on it. Plus she has fun manipulating the pics she takes making her brother and sister look funny. Vtech went all out with this one, I often find myslef playing with it when she goes to bed at night.

This camera is an absolute hit! All the kids love it and want to snap pictures from ages 3-12. They especially like how they can immediately see the pictures uploaded to the computers and the backgrounds that can be put on the pictures. I would recommend this to any parent who has kids that are photogenic. It is very durable and has won the war against hitting the floor. We have used it so much, we are on our second set of batteries. (4AA)

My two children ages 3 and 4yrs old received this camera for christmas and they absolutely love it. Everything is very easy for them use and the big hand grips makes it easy to hold on to. The camera has been dropped a few times and it still works perfect. The pictures are amazing even for a childs camera especially all the frames and things the kids can add to the pictures..it makes it so much fun for them. The games are a added bonus. I have added a picture that was taken with the camera..i really would recommend this to anyone with small children they will love it.

I'm sorry to say that my experience with this camera is anything but good. I bought it for my 2.5 year old son for Christmas. We opened it the day before Christmas and the LCD screen didn't work (it was scrambled and unreadable). We returned it and bought another one. It's reliability was terrible -- would not even turn on most of the time. I replaced the batteries 3 times and hit the reset button a dozen times during the 2 weeks we had it. I was fed up and returned it again, and I won't buy another one (not even any other brand).
The other limitation was the updating of the LCD screen (very slow) and it was hard to ever see an image there. As a result, my son couldn't seem to figure out which was the front and back of the camera and always took pictures of himself, blinding himself with the flash (and he has no trouble taking pictures with our $200 digital camera).
