I like the features, the calorie burning is a bit confusing along with changing activity type, but for heart rate monitoring, it's very easy to use. Very comfortable to wear both on wrist and chest.

Thinking about ordering it again...,

Well I ordered this and wore it once while working out. Loved how it connected to the elliptical on it's own and kept track of my heart rate and calorie burn. Calorie burn seemed about the same as it normally is with me just holding on to the handles for it to catch my heart rate. I wore it while sitting on the couch and it seemed like my heart rate was all over the place. Wore it to a Zumba class, and it told me I burn 112 calories in an hour....there's no way that could be right, especially since I was over my heart rate max in less then 10 minutes. I almost want to think mine was defective and order another one...just not sure about doing it. On the plus side it was easily returned.

I know it sounds cheesey, but I love this heart rate monitor. I looked everywhere else and read all the reviews I could get my hands on. I ended up w/ this one because of the price, features, and I could return it if I didnt like it. Nothing to worry about there, I love it!! One note, the "tap" feature is awesome, just tap harder than you initially think.

This product is ok to keep track of your time exercising, heart rate, and calories burned. The tap on feature has never worked. Most of the time it takes several minutes for my heart rate to show up. I spend a lot of time waiting to work out for the heart rate to show up.

The HR monitor did not work. I'm unsure if it's a chest piece mal-function or if the wrist watch & chest piece do not communicate. The screen tap function did not work either & I was not able to reset the stop watch. In all, I was not able to use the product immediatly after purchase. I may return the device if Oregon Scientific is not able to resolve the issue. On the upside, the watch has numerous unique feature that I like and the maker has a online customer service form for technical issue. If the watch worked properly, I wouldn't return it. Lastly, I'm a swimmer and I can't use the chest piece in shallow water during lap swimming. I recommend customer purchase a wrist watch that is water resistant with a HR function for lap swimming or a chest piece that is water resistant.

Watch came with bad battery. Changed battery and watch did not work properly. It would reset itself to the start settings. I would enter current time/date and a few hours later it would go back to the intial settings. Do not but this watch.

This product is not accurate when displaying heart rate. In addition, if you want a heart rate model watch that gives you a constant heart rate read out, look further, you have to manually tap the lens of the watch to get an Unaccurate reading. No Thanks. This item is being returned and a Polar product will be purchased

The monitor has a nice feature that you tap it and it changes mode to show your heart rate. Would have been good if it worked. And then the whole unit started to work in a crazy way after week two. Totally useless.

Calories Burned Feature Didn't Work,

My product was defective...I was very excited about buying this product due to its low price. The only feature I really cared about was the calories burned feature. Unfortunately, after plugging in all necessary information (weight, height, etc.) the calories burned feature didn't work. After studing the manuel (which isn't very clear) I still wasn't able to get it fixed so I called the customer service rep who didn't know much about the product and basically told me that my product is defective. If you are looking for a product that tells time well, has a stopwatch, and keeps your heart rate, you may enjoy this product, but if you are looking for something to keep track of calories burned...probably not.

First Heart Monitor - Good so far,

I wanted a heart monitor to ensure I was working hard enough to get benefit from my workouts and to know where my heart rate is in certain exercises like weight lifting. This works well and I thought was a good value. The display is large enough to see easily and there are enough features that I doubt I'll outgrow it. It was a great bonus that when I got on the treadmill at the local YMCA, that treadmill picked up the monitor signal and displayed in on the machine. I couple things that I would note - I haven't been able to get the calorie counter to work yet even after programming in all my info. I probably just need to go back through the instructions but so far no luck. I also thought I could wear it at rest or at work to see how much energy common things take - but the heart rate fluctuates so much - by 10 bpm every second. The watch seems to be accurate and the treadmill confirms that so I've just decided not to try to use it at rest. The real test for me is how long the battery will last and whether it will be worth replacing when it does need to be replaced. Note that it is only water resistant so rain, sweat and showers are okay but don't plan to swim with it.

This is a product you want to keep the directions for. It takes a little bit of time to figure out which of the 5 buttons to push for whatever you want to program. But the upside to that is that it comes with many features. The tap feature works well, but you can only set it up to tap one function (i.e. heart rate OR clock etc.) Once I figured out programming, it was accurate and worked well. I would have given this product 5 stars if the instructions had been a little more detailed and user friendly. This is the first time I've used a heart rate monitor, so other people might have an easier time with it. All in all I think it was a good value for the money.

Works great! I am able to use it at the gym and the cardio machines pick up the reading. A little confusing to figure out the warning system for when you go over your target, but all in all, a great product. If you are a petite woman, this product may not work for you. I had to punch extra holes in the watch band, and the heart rate monitor is as tight as it can go. It would be nice if there was a woman's model.
