We purchased this for a long road trip this summer and went with this one as we were having a hard time finding one that would fit in our F250. Was purchased with install card. When installed the installer said he has never this type before, where it mounts only on the sides. Could never get the FM transmitter to work. After a couple of uses the screen would turn blue. After a couple more uses there was a short somewhere, now it has not power to it at all. Unable to use for vacation and trying to work with manufactor to get a new one. 2 kids (age 3 and 7) on a 2500 mi round trip vac with no DVD was not fun. :(

I should have payed more attention to the reviews that were already on here concerning the fact that the unit may not work at all soon after purchasing. Indeed, My unit failed just 12 days after launching into operation . I have no choice at this point but to try again because according to the installer, the installation of this unit is not easily covered up by any other monitors on the market. I just pray that the next one does last because I still love the design of this unit!

Have had this in our minivan for a year now. Zero issues. Gets used almost daily. Watch both DVDs and also have it hooked up to Sirius Backseat TV. Very slim and looks good. Not bulky like other players.

Our first unit worked great for about 3 months, then as others have complained, the screen went out on us and I had to return it under warranty. It took about a month and a replacement unit was sent and I took it back to our installation place, paid an additional $50 to reinstall only to find out that the replacement unit was having the same issues as our first one. Very disappointing as it works well with the sunroof and space issues in my SUV. Will not buy this brand again.

The unit was fairly easy to install with some knowledge of vehicle wiring. The unit only lasted 2 months and the screen went blank. The back light went out in the unit. Now I am taking it down to send it back to the manufacturer. Not Fun!!!!

I received the product and liked the design but once it was installed it was hard to put up and down and after two weeks it broke. Now I have to pay to get it removed and send it in to get fixed. It has been such a hassle and waste of money. Spend more money and buy something else.

Our vehicle has a moon roof. So we bought this model for the fact that the moniter does not take up much space. It fits very nicely. This model is great because the DVD slides directly into the screen, so it takes up very little roof space when mounting. Our kids love it and I love that it comes with a remote.

I always wanted a overhead DVD unit with a topless design, I really love the unit - it's a beauty. Nice design, good screen quality, only one tiny issue about FM - sometimes noisy sound on the background, is this normal ?! or maybe I'll call them to find out. Steve

I bought this for my van because of the limited room I had to mount a DVD player. I have rear climate controls pretty much in the area a normal roof mount dvd player would go. This product was the best fit for my van. It looks good, great concept, but doesn't always play right away when I put a dvd in. Sometimes struggles to recognize and play the dvd. The picture is good but sometimes have to mess with the brightness and contrast on some dvds. I don't know why that is. The FM modulator has a slight hum or buzz when playing movies through the van stereo. This is my first time using an FM modulator so maybe this is normal. I've tried multiple stations and they all sound the same. Kids really enjoy it.
