Best if put together with glue

I just put together this dresser on 12/4/12. I had also bought the storkcraft bunk beds. Everything looks decent for the price, you know things are made like they were when our grand parents bought furniture. My recommendation is to take your time and to buy a quality wood glue like Tite bond and glue all seams that will not be taken apart. It adds re-enforcement. We will see how long it lasts.

I ordered 3 of these dressers, and when we opened the first one to assemble it I was tempted to return it to the store. The sides are press board, as are the drawers. The description said solid wood and wood veneer which made me believe that was ALL solid wood, with a veneer finish. My own fault I know, but for the money I paid, I expected better quality. The assembly wasn't that hard, but the pre drilled holes for the drawer tracks give it an uneven look. The drawers are not even and the top one has a big gap. The finish was also a bit disappointing. It looked fine from a distance, but up close you can see that another coat is needed. The dresser is very heavy, which is good, but still a bit wobbly. And we tightened everything very good. I'll be happy with it if it lasts more than 4 years though, because the last dresser I bought that was made of these materials lasted that long. And I paid half the price for it.

Ok, I get that people who buy this are mostly likely on a budget. That doesn't mean that you should compromise SOO much in quality. As others have written, the piece LOOKS good. That's about it. It has a very flimsy feel to it once you load your kid's clothes into it. Also, the drawers are very hard to keep on track. If I had it to do over, I would go with this. Sorry...

We have one before and loved it. The only thing now is that the drawers do not come all the way out like they did before. They are now equipped with shorter rails to prevent toppling of the dresser. Some new Gov Regulation. We bought another set for our new child's room.

It looks very nice with my Storkcraft Carrara Crib. It has a nice finish also. It doesn't look cheap at all. It looks as if it is high quality. However, the wood is kind of weak. The back leg of the dresser broke off when we tried to move it to a different spot in the room. Other than that, the dresser is a good quality for the price.

We bought this dresser for our sons nursery. It looked great online. It is awful. Poor quality. Each piece of fake wood is a different color. We tried moving it and the bottom broke. Unfixable. It scratches easily. Don't waste your money on this piece if junk. We bought the dresser and storage unit too. Samething.

Dresser was put together properly even though it came with poor instructions. There is space between the side edge of the draws and front side panels of the dresser. The draws are wobbly when you open and close them. The tracks are not of good quality. It says the dresser is real wood. What they fail to tell you is that the bottom of the draws are press board. Recommend you invest in an extra hundred dollars and get an all wood piece of furniture that will last a life time. I don't believe this dresser will last long.

We purchased this dresser for my daughters nursery. When it first arrived it took my husband the expected amount of time to put together and we loved it at first, but then it slowly started breaking apart. The knobs started falling off and we kept putting them back on. The drawer started falling off track and falls into the one underneath it. After 1 year of buying this dresser all the drawers are non functional completely. DO NOT BUY THIS DRESSER!

I purchased this dresser based off of other reviews but was a little disappointed once the dresser was put together. First on one of the drawer fronts was dried glue that was painted over & with it being a dark color it is noticeable, second the inside of the drawers are all pressed wood so I don't see this lasting for years to come. I do like the way it looks & the color is a true espresso. The price is right just wish the quality was a little better.

We purchased this dresser for the twins we are expecting early next year so we haven't gotten much use out of it yet. Because I'm impatient and didn't want to wait for my husband to return from his business trip, I actually put this piece together by myself (I'm 6 months pregnant). The assembly process was pretty easy. It would have been even easier if the instructions included words/descriptions instead of just pictures. I truly believe the instructions were created by a man for men. I only had one or two of the knobs that wouldn't completely tighten. That didn't bother me because I never intended to use these knobs. I've ordered some different knobs that go with my nursery theme. I'm not sure why people were complaining about the size of the drawers. The drawers are somewhat shallow, but this is a $180 dresser that has to be assembled. It is not a high price piece of furniture from a fine furniture store. It is being used for a nursery. If the people who posted negative comments about the drawer size wanted more space, they should have taken the time to do more research and purchased a different item. Overall, I'm looking forward to using this when my twins arrive.

My husband and I ordered this chest for our second daughter due to arrive in a few weeks. We have the matching 4-drawer chest & the two look beautiful together. The quality is good. There were no scratches or damages to it when it arrived. We've had the matching dresser for about 2 years & it has held up perfectly. The drawers aren't all that deep but good for babies & kids clothing. The cherry color is very nice! It matches our first daughter's crib which is a Baby Cache perfectly. So happy with our purchase! We also used Walmart's Site to Store free shipping which is awesome!

I love the look & color oh & the best part is the drawers are big with lots of space.But that is all the material is very cheap & it is not a strong drawer my two yr old almost tipped it over when he bumped into it. The knobs wont stays tight no matter hw much you tightened it.. Very low quality but very nice looking ..

this dresser looks great in our new babys room. the only issue i had and why i gave it 4 stars is that some of the dowels that are glued in when you buy to put together were too long and didnt fit correctly. i had to cut the tips off with a little saw (doing 8 months pregnant wasnt hard just awkward). the dresser fits together well and is not hard to assemble other then that. the pieces just wouldnt fit until i cut the ends off some of the dowels.

I bought 2 natural & 1 cherry of these a few years ago. They cherry color is very pretty. They were very nice & thought for the price they would last several years but I was very wrong. The drawers have been a nightmare from the very beginning with coming off track & getting jammed not able to open or close. Wood is too thin on the leg parts those have cracked & coming apart. If you are looking for something that is going to last as your child grows this is NOT the chest to get

This was a lot easier to put together than the other changing table dresser we bought so my husband was glad for that. Its made with some real wood and looks very nice in our nursery! Its a very nice product for the price! I would def get this again if had to start all over.

I bought this chest after reading the positive reviews. However, I was very disappointed by the poor quality. It is not all solid wood. only the front of the drawers and top are wood. Others are all compressed wood. It is very tedious to put together and missing several nails. It is overpriced for its quality. I ended up returning it to the store.
