Blade is sharp, all the trimmers fit and work great. The bag makes storage easy so that none of the peices get misplaced or lost. Great buy.

Review 6 for WAHL Beard Trimmer, Cord or Cordless with Self Sharpening Steel Blades, Model 9918-6171
The adjustable comb attachment allows me to set the length that works best for my beard and I use it almost exclusively. The small size of this trimmer makes it easy to hold even with my Texas size hands. I also find the rechargeable battery to be convenient. There is one thing I don't like about this little trimmer...it makes a big racket. Initially, I found the noise somewhat disconcerting. However, after using it a few times I've grown accustomed to the sound much like using a chainsaw…you don’t notice the noise after awhile. What about the price? I think you would be hard pressed to find a better deal. Lastly, I ordered this little beard chainsaw online and it was at my local store in only two days… shipping was jackrabbit fast. My hats off to both Wal-Mart and WAHL.

I had a Wahl trimmer for years that I loved. Eventually the battery would no longer hold a charge so I bought this one. Worked okay for a while & then one day while trimming my mustache the multi-position attachment popped off & cut a chunk out down to my skin. Have not been able to get it to stay on since. Company claims they haven't heard of this problem from anyone else although I see some of the reviews on here mention it.

I am quite surprised that this trimmer was terrible. I charged it and went to trim the next day. I placed one of the guards on and took it off. Some of the trimmer teeth came with it. It is supposed to stay together unless you unscrew the blades when you are cleaning it. Will be returning it tomorrow. Will find a better replacement product than this one.

Review 13 for WAHL Beard Trimmer, Cord or Cordless with Self Sharpening Steel Blades, Model 9918-6171
This was purchased to replace the same item that finally failed after several years of good use. I looked at other brands but came back to what I know and was sure would serve my needs. I was very satisfied with the old one and so far the new one works just fine. I use it for light trimming of a mustache and chin scrub once or twice a week or so.

Had for a month, first serious trimmer for my facial hair I ever bought. It shaved close (too close, I've messed up a few times it was so sharp, think I haven't quite figured holding positions yet) All except the attachments being difficult to remove, I'd give it a perfect score. I use it every other day, the first 2 weeks of shaving were perfect, but after about a month they seem a bit dull, I have no idea how they're self sharpening. Seems to hold a charge for long time (it's new), never had trouble even though I keep it plugged in while shaving. Blades aren't as loud when wireless, which I think because they're not moving as fast. I oil it every two weeks cause i use it regularly (wahl customer support suggested) instead of monthly. The customer support is excellent they replied within 24hrs. to my questions with answers and suggestions if the answer wasn't satisfactory to my

It works well for keeping a tighty look. It's good for home use and has some decent power to it. I would recommend this product to guys. It's lightweight and comes with all the attachments and carring case and stand. It's a good brand. we're happy with it.

This is my third Wahl beard trimmer over 20 plus years. I highly recommend these trimmers as they do a great job and last a long time. I would still be using my last trimmer if it was not dropped on a tile floor. That one was at least 9 years old and still was working fine. You can't do any better for the money than a Wahl trimmer.
