This is an awesome,must have item, The very First meal I cooked in it was amazing,so tender so Juicy, the fell off the bone. Just follow the instructions on taking care of it and you will have yourself a treasure for many years to come. Go and buy yourself a Lodge Dutch Oven!

I really like it. It is a great size for making stews or soups and frying a lot of meat. It is a good size for me. It is plenty large. I use cast iron all the time so I know it will last forever. The preseasoning wasn't the best thing but I took care of that and scrubbed it good and reseasoned it myself. No problem!

My bad for not reading the product details before purchasing! It's a nice dutch oven but really heavy and shallow. It would overpower my stovetop burner and having a glasstop stove...well, not ok. I returned it immediately and ordered the Tramontina 6.5 qt dutch oven that is a bit smaller and much deeper. Another 3 weeks to wait for delivery probably but I'll be a happier consumer. The lodge dutch oven would be great for camping and larger stovetops without glass though. Thank you.

I love my new Lodge 7qt Dutch oven, so far I have made bbq beef, and a Pot Roast, both were excellent, and the dutch oven only improves the flavor even more. I wouldn't trade my dutch oven for anything, also comes with an easy to understand care manual to take care of your new dutch oven, I'm very impressed. bantyu51

this is a heavy large quality dutch oven. perfect for cooking over the wood stove, holds enough for a very large family. I also bought other lodge usa items from walmart.com great items at a great price.
