Overall Rating: 5 out of 5 5 out of 5

I bought this refrigerator to compliment the new bar I am building in my home. It really holds alot of cans and keeps them ice cold. I really like the light feature and would recommend this purchase to anyone looking for additional cold storage space.

Great Bar Fridge, 01/18/2010
By ManInMichigan, Northville
Overall Rating: 5 out of 5 5 out of 5

Perfect size, sturdy shelves, self defrost, no useless freezer. The site-to-store process was fast and convenient.

Glass shelves would have been nice. One of the reviews I read mentioned that it had glass shelves. Not true. It has wire shelves that are mounted like standard refrigerator shelves, which is a nice feature.

If you need a small, very pragmatic fridge, buy this!

Door falls off, 01/11/2010
By an anonymous customer, Louisville, Kentucky
Overall Rating: 3 out of 5 3 out of 5

My office purchased this fridge to hold soft drinks etc. We wanted an energy star rated fridge so this fit the bill. The first one we got the door fell off so I sent it back and got another one and the same thing happened - door fell off. We made a "washer" out of cardboard to help elevate the door. We shall see if this works. I am keeping the box in case we have to send back. Walmart is great about returns very easy to do. We will give this one a chance to work with our fix for a day or two if it doesn't work we will get a refund and try another brand. I called the manufacturer to see if there was a fix for the door since this was the second one that fell off and they said no that they weren't aware of any problems with the door. FYI

not satisfied, 12/23/2009
By chicotheman, carroll Ia

I thought this refrigerator would be the ideal thing for my beverages. I didn't want a refrigerator with a freezer in it so this fit my needs. Order it site to store and when i got it home and unpacked it the refrigerator cooling coil unit in the back was broken off the back with only one screw holding it on. Didn't even get a chance to plug it in and had to hall it back to the store. It was very heavy and i was not very happy.

Love the feature of not having a Freezer.., 12/09/2009
By chiles2u, Reedville, VA
Overall Rating: 4 out of 5 4 out of 5

The major issue I had was that the temp. Was and is, hard to regulate...it took a few days to figure out where the knob had to be set.
Also the knob to regulate the temp is somewhat difficult to me to use. I now keep a coin on top of the Fridge in case I need to change the temperture. Please be aware that this model does not have glass shelves, which are on the stainless steel one and they don't explain that in the description...All in All I like it better than my GE, which was more expensive and had to be defrosted manually, which is a pain in the neck...

Maybe this is how they work..., 12/04/2009
By FrugAnnie, Orlando, FL
Overall Rating: 3 out of 5 3 out of 5

I purchased this model, based on several comments on how cold it kept the contents. One person said that you could use it for a freezer, which is why I purchased it. I was totally happy with this little frig, until I put a turkey in it and it defrosted in less than one week. On the coldest setting, it fluctuates from 20 to 40 degrees, which means that the contents defrost and refreeze. I now watch the temperature and do not keep anything in it for more than a week - alas, I need an extra freezer - wish I could sell this one!!

All I Expected, 10/26/2009
By Abycat, Bonita Springs, FL
Overall Rating: 5 out of 5 5 out of 5

This is a nice little refrigerator, at least so far. I like that fact that there is no ice compartment -- it leaves more useful space inside. I also like the fact that it's "no frost." It holds more than I expected and seems to keep things at an acceptable temperature. I've only used it for a little over a week, but so far I'm pleased with my purchase.

Danby mini-fridge-great!, 10/21/2009
By SaveMoreOrLess, Texas
Overall Rating: 4 out of 5 4 out of 5

Purchased to replace old, broken one. I wanted a beverage cooler, but they do not get drinks cold enough. This one does, in fact it takes some tweaking to keep drinks from getting frozen, esp. on the bottom rack. So far so good, but have only had for about a month. Looks good, love the interior light.

Better than expected, 10/18/2009
By Barefooter1, Alpine Ca
Overall Rating: 5 out of 5 5 out of 5

I did a lot of shopping before I settled on this model. I wanted a small fridge of this size but with out the usual top freezer. Seems that they are not easy to find. I just wanted a beer fridge for the garage. It's a perfect size. As soon as I took it out of the box I reversed the door (for my location) which was very easy to do. The fridge is very roomy, the door even has nice shelves and a six pack can holder. On a medium to high setting the bottled water and beer stays very cold even on a very hot day in the garage. In my shopping around I also found this to be a very good price for the size and features. The fridge has exceeded my expectations, I'm very pleased with my purchase. I had to buy this online as Walmart does not stock the unit in a store near me. I used the internet/ship to a store near me and within about 10 days I had my fridge w/o shipping charges. I just went into Walmart to pick up the box.

WARRANTY ISSUES, 09/22/2009
By SUZIQ2, MORRIS, IL
Overall Rating: 2 out of 5 2 out of 5

WHILE THE STYLE,FEATURES,DURABILITY AND APPEARANCE ARE GOOD, THE WARRANTY ISSUES ARE BAD. OUR FRIG WILL NOT MAINTAIN UNDER 44 DEGREES AND THIS IS AN ISSUE IN A CLINICAL SETTING, AS WITHIN THERE ARE PRODUCTS USED FOR PATIENTS. I HAVE TRIED TO HAVE THIS FIXED, BUT I CANNOT GET SERVICE TO THIS AREA AS WE ARE TOO FAR, 35 MILES AWAY, AND THAT IS TOO FAR FOR SERVICE TO DRIVE. COME ON..WHAT IS UP WITH THAT! I EVEN HAVE AN EXTENDED WARRANTY THAT I GOT WHEN I REGISTERED ON LINE. DANBY HAS NOT BEEN VERY CUSTOMER FRIENDLY WITH THEIR SERVICE.

Great Value, 09/08/2009
By qtpie409
Overall Rating: 4 out of 5 4 out of 5

I've only had the refrigerator for about two weeks and so far it has worked great for me. It did take about three days to figure out the correct temperature because there is only a small nob, which froze my drinks when I placed it all the way up. It has plenty of space and the movable shelves give me plenty of room for large items. The only thing I've noticed is that there is a small amount of frist on the back side of the fridge, though it doesn't affect the food. I would deffinitely recommend this compact fridge to anyone in a dorm, small apartment, or just anyone looking for a little extra storage.

I bought this one for my Mom's b'day. I have one at home and it's about 8 year old now. Works fine. Most of cheaper compact refrigerator comes with freezer that you need to defrost from time to time. This one does not have a freezer. Save time and energy. You won't regret it.
